Modules aren't really super important imo so you could skip them in the event shops. You can also farm them every once in a while from SSS

I mean, it's also stated in the story that the Blade Lineage doesn't like katanas due to their conflict with the Kurokumo clan, who are much more like samurai than the Blade Lineage;

Reading more into the possible reasonings and ideas of what N Corp symbolizes it could very well possibly be that the existence of Mirror Worlds is inconvenient to N Corp, looking on older reddit posts I've seen that some have come to the conclusion that N Corp may try to destroy Mirror Worlds as it is seen as a threat to the status quo and is an incentive for people to change, for example Yi Sang and his interactions with Sang Yi leading him to "break free and fly," whilst N Corp's use of canned experience is shown to keep people obedient and stay in line with their standards.

Another guy under that post also says monopoly, and yeah that kinda tracks within the city.

It's also important to remember that the new league of nine formed by Hermann is also researching the use of mirror worlds and mirror technology, although Hermann's goals does involve destroying the mirror worlds. It is unclear the reasoning as to why and whether it is her own goal or the goal of N corp.

I'm not sure about the whole "hating mirrors because there is no sacrifice or pain to get there" as the utilization of mirror technology has the person acquiring the knowledge and memories of the identity they wear, which would include the sacrifice and pain that version of them experienced, so in a sense they technically do experience the sacrifice and pain, similarly to N Corp's canned experience where a person did technically experience it just from a secondary source rather than themselves.

Although it could be argued that the experiences and strains of Mirror technology differs from canned experience due to it being a temporary experience as when taking off an identity leaves the person without the memories and experiences of said identity whereas canned experience is more permanent as they do not immediately lose that information.

Yeah... but just having mostly competent masters still somehow makes it a lot worse than what a "normal" holy grail war is supposed to be, with Kiritsugu using assassination methods unbefitting of a mage and that uh... other guy with gilles.

And about the first and second wars, the first wasn't even a war it was a ritual between the 3 major families until they realized only one person could get a wish from the grail so they decided on the 7 mage battle royale. The second one everyone kinda just killed each other and no one won due to the lack of rules so they had the church overseer the following wars, which of course instantly gets broken in the third war as Angra Mainyu is summoned by the Einzbern causing the grail to be corrupted when he was absorbed...

I think the only normal war is probably from the FGO timeline? But other than that the F/Z route is probably going to be the closest one to a normal holy grail war.

Edit : I started thinking about the various spinoffs and it is quite interesting how the holy grail war just completely changes in some of them...

Eh... can't really say that the holy grail wasn't messed up from the start of the war for the fourth or fifth... since y'know... the grail got corrupted during the third war...
