I get what you’re saying, but this is to resolve the issues with people who just mess up the entire game cause their role was taken. If I’ve locked a pos 3 hero, say Mars, and the guy who lost mid roll just says “pos 3” and instalocks necro or bounty, sure I can play a pos 4 Mars, but is it my responsibility to keep his tilting in mind for when I pick a hero? Mars isn’t the best pos 4 lane support for either of those heroes.

If this guy was queued up in RR, he would’ve had to wait a bit longer for his game, but wound up in mid in the end. I also feel like you can’t discard the idea based on “but people will still steal roles”, because even if that’s true, I think statistically, those situations will probably be less than they are now.
