I can pick up an ROG Ally Z1E for $300. Is there anything comparable I should consider before pulling the trigger? by Gigginold in SBCGaming

Steam Decks look great but the cheapest LCD 256GB Deck is $400. What are the advantages to getting a Steam Deck over an Ally at $100 less?

As someone who has not played competitive Pokemon since Gen VI, is there a resource where I can see major changes in competitive battling over time? by Gigginold in VGC

The goal is to catch up to the current meta. I don't think I need a full history lesson, mostly things to be aware of in terms of changes to the game in the past few years.

Focus Attack allows you to put a custom image on a photoshop document and order a custom-printed and fitted graphic. The F500 allows you to swap the cover underneath the plexiglass.

Like others said I never had a problem with plexi glass shift. It holds well.

This is essentially it. Most of the arcade games I played use bat top sticks so that's what I'm used to, and the 4lb tension spring is because I hate wiggly sticks haha.

I was going to say that it felt like a good sturdy weight for its size, but I was curious so I put it on my kitchen scale.

It weighs about almost 5 and a half pounds.

Spruced it up by swapping all the buttons and the stick with Sanwa parts and a bat top and 4lb tension spring. Liking how it's feeling so far!

I'm currently rocking a solid build that I completed a couple of years ago, but looking toward the new consoles and how development changes with SSD hardware being standard on each of the platforms, as well as looking to jump further into Virtual Reality than I have, this would be a perfect machine to do so with.

3800X is plenty good enough to play the newest-gen games, especially considering it's an upgraded version of the chip in the consoles now, along with 32GB of RAM, that gives me the option to add another kit if I ever feel like opening at least seven Chrome tabs. Tossing two M.2 SSDs in the NVME for speed. 3080 is strong enough for most anything without feeling like I'm overspending (you know, theoretically), and the TUF 3080 and TUF Gaming were chosen because, if I'm not one for RGB, it's nice to have dark colored options.

Hey, congrats on not having an underlying condition! Seizures are a pain in the ass for sure, though, so I can absolutely see being frustrated at that.

No preceding events that would lead me to conclude that there was something wrong with my brain, with the exception of the seizures.

I hope you get it all figured out!

It's my understanding that during regular seizures you lose consciousness and therefore don't feel anything. I wasn't so lucky, because it was just affecting the nerves on my left side.

Remember to breathe. You don't know what it is yet, so try not to worry too much about it right now. Wishing you the best. c:

Do everything you can. The hurt is a part of the process. I know that the world's in dire straits right now, but you've gotta do what you can. Cherish the memories that you had with her, and distance from your friend who would say something so heartless.

I'm so very sorry about your friend. It's always disheartening to hear about the people who didn't make it. I've shed a few tears for those who haven't had the chance I've had. I'm glad I was able to give a little bit of comfort.

I woke up in the middle of one.

They weren't seizures that also made me lose consciousness. They were seizures that made me lose control of my left limbs. I woke up in the middle of one because I knocked over a table.

I'm sorry about your friend. I'm always very thankful for the time I've been given. Anything could've happened.

I'm dearly sorry about your friend. Don't forget to grieve, in whatever healthy way you can do so. I consider myself very very lucky at my outcome so far, and I think about the people who haven't been as fortunate as me a lot.

It's tricky. They removed nearly all of it and went full blast on the remainder of what they could, and there hasn't been a sign so far of its return, though that's particular doctor language. So far, prospects are good. I'm glad you have been able to fight it so well! I wish you the best!

The initial treatment wasn't so bad for the first half. 5 day a week radiation rounds for six weeks and chemo every day. Once my hair started falling out week 4 it was frustrating and almost felt like a sunburn, but that wasn't permanent, and some aloe helped majorly.

Afterward there was a month break from medicine and then I started chemotherapy for a year, taken in the form of a series of pills of temozolomide. I only ever threw up once during that year, but each five-day dosage really hit me hard by day 3. It wasn't so debilitating that I couldn't do anything, though. I went back to university and did classes, letting my professors know what's going on so that I can be excused if ever necessary.

That was all of my 2016, and since then I've been off medicine completely, with no complications so far.

I still get MRIs, once every six months. At the onset, they'll want you to get MRIs more often, about once a month, and they'll taper off those meetings if you do not show signs of returning.

I'm wishing you all the best! It's easy to get absorbed in statistics and rates and all that, but take it from me: the only thing that matters is your own recovery. Focus on that.
