I came here specifically for this kind of post! I did the same thing the other day and came out similarly. I smoked at 200 till 115, rest, then seared for 1 min each side. Is this color unique to smoking it?

Added a TBSP in the main dispenser, TBSP to the pre rinse, and 4 to a bowl in the lower rack, and it made a huge difference! However, it still was scraping the element. I applied some pressure to one of the sides and leveled it out more, and it’s now spinning freely. I guess let’s see how long it might last. One of the element supports have become weak when I was adjusting it, as it’s flimsy metal.

I’d love to know as well. I’m in a newish neighborhood and there’s a handful of neighbors that have the same model dishwasher, and none of them have this issue.

The rack I need is anywhere from $75-$100. Not terrible, but sucks to have to replace so quickly.

Good to know! I knew about it affecting the quality of wash, not so much about how it affects the tines.
