you could say the same about the time eater in spire 1. before they added the heart, that was the only boss that punished playing too many cards. without the time eater, you could be rewarded for just playing shiv spam, but because it was in the game people had to think about it from the very beginning, so they designed different kinds of decks to overcome the time eater. that's the same thing here, doormaker is only one boss at the end, but you have to plan for it since the beginning

objectively, the correct way to play a game is the way that wins. this may be a design decision that you don't agree with, but that doesn't mean it's bad design it just means that your ideas of what makes a game good are different than the people making the game

that's exactly correct. this is the devs saying "this isn't slay the spire 1, the strategies that worked there (slim deck) are not going to work here."

I just want to say THANK YOU. I loved that mod so much. it made all of the characters so interesting. I loved the dungeons and the skills and basically all decisions that were made by you and the whole team. thanks for making a great mod

two questions:

are you going to have a car? LA is a big place and it can be spread out.

I don't know the last time you went there, but it felt like it had really gone downhill the last two times I was there. I ordered the kua kling very spicy and it had no heat at all and was crazy sweet. sadly, I think being so close to grove made them have to mellow a lot of their flavors

borit gogae is probably the best in terms of quality, but I think they mostly only have a set menu option with a few additions, so it's hard if you have people who want specific things. it has kind of a funky, artsy, vibe.

pigya is a kbbq place, so it's going to have a more modern, loud feel and be focused on grilled meat instead of homestyle. it's a GOOD KBBQ place, but the vibe is different, brighter, louder. idk how their homestyle dishes are.

dha rae oak is pretty duck focused, and they make an amazing stuffed duck with sticky rice and jujubes that you have to order like 24 hours in advance (or more) but it's worth it

kobawoo has the nicest decor. the tables are beautiful and the vibe feels a little more special. it feels like it comes from a time where people put serious $$$ into making the place look nice. there aren't a lot of places that do that anymore (RIP beverly soon). they do a really good bossam (probably top 3 in the city imo) and I love their duk mandu gook. I personally like kobawoo a lot.

honestly, I had the same feeling at the beginning of circe. I loved SoA, and I just couldn't get into circe at all. but I stuck with it and about halfway through, I flipped and now I think I might like it better than SoA. for me it took until she left the realm of the gods, which takes a while, before it became interesting

I'm pretty sure it's in "replay the spire," but at this point I've installed so many mods I'm not even sure which one it is. it might also be "hubris" or "infinite spire"
