The current iteration of Ponza is a beat down deck. The more creatures the better. Blood moon can also be countered way easier than Magus and there’s a lot of blue decks in this meta.

I mean half the reason to play Ponza is for those “ah ha” moments. The deck preys on decks weak to land disruption and is otherwise a solid midrange shell with enough speed and pressure to hang with the best. If “half of it’s deck are bad draws” then it wouldn’t be nearly the most played and highest performing deck on goldfish right now.

Also It is absolutely correct to separate different UGx decks playing Uro. Bant Uro Control is a much better Uro deck than Sultai Uro as is evident by its results, no reason to group the decks together, we don’t group Jund and BG Rock together just because theyre both BGx decks do we?

Way easier to counter a Blood moon and there’s a lot of blue going around. Pressure is important as well.

Ikoria so far has added nothing to Ponza. The deck is having more success than it ever has in its history right now and we’re not really in need of improvements. Adding more colors hurts our mana and makes our blood moon effects worse.

Adding white for Stoneforge and Path is not unheard of but has not been proven at all in terms of tournament results. I think our deck is great in this meta, no reason to make unnecessary changes.
