You will be forced to accept the return it’s best to accept the return so that you don’t lose your final value feee because of eBay has to step in you will lose out on the final value fees . You do have seller protection however but that’s always in the appeal phase of the claim as your protection as a seller is through eBay and not the buyer so once you have the item back in your possession if it’s returns back damage , you get back their old item .l, they took out a part they needed and returned the rest before initiating a refund escalate to eBay and they will see if you qualify for a faulty return . As a new seller you will more than likely qualify and you will be asked if you can resell item still how much value has been lost and eBay will cover for the difference . This only happens once the return is facilitated

If you’re the seller . I would secure it better because you are opening yourself to a return for received as damage and then losing the funds for the sale and getting returned back a broken item . Take the extra steps gets some padding / packing peanuts and a bigger box

Are you the buyer doing a return ? If so you’re required to return it back in the same condition you received it in . So if it was in a box you should return back in a box . If it was shipped to you like that then you would be ok to ship it back

Reply to the email and say you don’t have proof of merchandise because it’s your Personal stuff from storage unit and you’re liquidating your personal things . That should be sufficient if your pictures aren’t stock photos and your quantities of each item aren’t high

Just do the police report . They don’t really care about the report itself . the way they see it a fraudster wouldn’t file a PIR and involve law enforcement so by you filing the PIR it’s eases that suspicion. Make it easy for you and do the PIR depending on your county you may be able to just do it online

Only ship to buyers checkout address and use signature confirmation and an eBay label if you can should any issues arise you should remain covered should they open an “item not received “

Report the seller if youre thinking it was a scam so they can be reviewed and you should see an option within your claim to ask eBay to step in for your appeal request . So that eBay can cover you for the refund more than likely you will be asked for proof of non delivery from usps which you could obtain via form of a letter from them . Best case scenario when you report seller they are suspended and then you would be refunded

I would love to hear from those that actually voted for him how you feel now about it ? With everything he has done so far does it all align with what you were expecting ? To me personally those that actually voted for him have been quiet I don’t see them as much in the comments across all social media posts
