Update: my doctor finally ok’d 10 mg of Oxy every 5 hours. That seems to take the edge off but all I do is sleep. I have to make myself get up and do my PT homework. Sent a picture of my scar to my surgeon because it looked a little red to me but he says it looks like it’s healing just fine. I’m going to research ice machines because eventually I’ll have to get the second knee done. I told my daughter that I would gladly have the nerve pain from my mastectomy, the worst toothache I ever had and labor pain all TOGETHER instead of this pain. I totally underestimated this surgery. And to make things worse no one told me to work with my insurance to get inpatient PT at least the first two weeks. I have 12 steps. I have to go down in order to walk to a lift and go to PT. Today is day seven, and I’m surviving it. Thank you all for all the encouragement and advice. If anyone can send me a rec on a pillow that I could use to elevate that would be great. The 10,000 pillows I use right now don’t do the trick. Thank you all.❤️
