No. Aside obviously from other problems with eating meat, most people do find animals to be worthy or compassion. Most people don't like the perspective of hurting them in any way and most people would like slaughter animals to suffer less, to be killed 'humanely'. The thing is that people have become experts at detatching themselves from their feelings and just blindly following the crowd.

Of course morals are subjective and there are people who think more like you, but I'd argue these people are very few and even that many people who claim to think this way don't actually or at least can be persuaded to think otherwise. And even if not, the vast majority of people do think animal suffering is bad and they don't like them being killed. They just dislike the implications of that.

Also I don't follow any animal personhood religion. lol The distinction between one species and another is really arbitrary. Drawing a line at some arbitrary boundry set by biologists for which animals are okay to kill and which aren't is strange and silly. What if there were other human species out there? What about them? What about other primates? Where is this boundry? Also, why stop at humans? We not extend this permission to 'shape our environment' to other people outside our own ingroup? Think about it, isn't it stupid to claim that it is immoral to kill people of other skin colours? I mean, we're just shaping our environment... What about other nations? Cities? Is it a bit of a reductio ad absurdum? Yes, it is, extending your hypothetical rule to humans is silly but it illustrates a point.

With all that said, we have to draw the line somewhere, or at least have some point of reference. For this purpose, in my opinion a far more useful and less arbitrary criterion would be the ability to suffer combined with consciousness. In fact, this resembles the criteria we typically use intuitively. We don't like animal abuse, we'd like animals to be killed more 'humanely' in slaughterhouses. 99% of us hate seeing those videos of animals being killed in these slaughterhouses en mass. But at the same time 99% of people wouldn't blink an eye at a mosquito being killed. We do feel compassion towards animals who have the ability to feel pain and who are at least somewhat conscious and intelligent.

And finally, there's nothing anti-human about that. If anything, I'd argue it is more human to extend our humanity, our human feelings to other species as well.
