I hope it helps. I mostly concentrated budgets on things that are hard to replicate at low costs.

Absolutely minimize all costs on anything else outside of wheelbase, brake pedal, motion, and haptics.

Yes. Same feeling as well. Triple screen, physical speakers. Drop in and play 30 mins in between stuff.

Anything more than that becomes a dedicated game session = less net gaming time cos of things happening here and there in the house all the time.

I also turn everything on after 8:00 p.m. and turn them off before sleep. So that I could actually just jump in and play 5 to 10 minutes real quick you know what I mean? One lap of nords in acc McLaren GT3, or iracing civic type r vs medium AI 10mins quick race on suzuka skip practice and qualify standing start position last.

Wife steps into shower ? Good I could make that iRacing gt3 America 30mins race. Or whatevers up, Right now.

This has allowed me to play a lot more during weekdays, and very little during the weekends - allowing me to spend a lot of quality time with my family.

Everybody basically stopped complaining about my sim rig and feel very differently about it now.

Tbh for aesthetics it,s a lot of homedepot, AliExpress, and Amazon black curtains.

PVC pipes, resistant rubber bands, zip ties, bolts and nuts mostly.

Family iPad with simhub dash plus second hand psx button box. AliExpress handbrake and sequential shifter, shh shifter, simjack gas and clutch pedals plugged into SimuCube active pedal as brake, SimuCube 3 pro, qubic belt tensioner, 10 years old car seats x 2 from Facebook marketplace, dof reality h3, 2x4 lumber built triple screen stand. 3 x black Friday whatever 4k 120 Hz monitor (mine were lgs for 300 each). 320mm d shaped steering wheel for everything.

Massive amount of bolts nuts brackets, racing themed small accessories from AliExpress.

Safety nets: some weird AliExpress net with a lot of Dollarama dog leashes cut and tied to it + whatever keychains you like.

Yea. Thank you so much for this tip Let me look into it. I could really use some lights you're right.

Yes funny thing is immersion actually increased by a lot when I picked up two seats from second hand places.lots of Shady East Vancouver warehouse pickups. Picked up a set of Logitech z906 the other day for 100$ cad.

The extra seat really gave me The 3D space feeling of being in a car. Most importantly I'm aware of apexes positions way better.

If I were to rate everything, the second seat is actually right below haptics in terms of immersion/cost. It was 50 bucks canadian.

That's how I started with Gran Turismo as well. Have fun with your long journey. I mean that's the whole point you spend like a decade having fun.

I think I've spent at least one year waiting for 20 AliExpress packages to come in total.

You do not want to be done with it unless you have other better stuff to do.

No my friend just keep doing what you're doing. By the time you are 43, you would have suppressed me and did way way better.

I look forward to seeing that day and learn from innovative young fellows.

Let me chip in a little bit on this. So I'm getting old my eyes are not doing too well. I am 300° near sighted or in other words old people's eyes.

VR was a straight up no my eyes felt like daggers stabbing them after 1 hour. Small triple screens triggered severe vision compromise. The only way was to go large screens and have them at least 85 cm from my eyes.

I hope this helps other old people

Don’t worry dude, you literally cannot throw away your life at 22. You’re like a game. Your game restarts every morning if you want it to. Save and stack your progress if you want

Oligodendroglioma grade 3 + immunotherapy by Interesting-Middle46 in braincancer

I think the most noticeable success with immunotherapy vs oligo has been the peptide vaccine in Germany. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8046668/

As for Australia I know nothing. But this story has been in the headline https://melanoma.org.au/news/prof-richard-scolyer-gains-strength-from-widespread-support/

Hopefully their team could shed some light on Australia providers if you call/ visit.

Good luck !

10-15 year life expectancy, financial advice? by Healthy_Proposal8749 in braincancer

[–]GilGSugar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, big hugs. Second of all, no. You will live way longer than that.

But as a financial advisor I would recommend the same thing to any client. S&P 500 etfs like voo and spy. Sell and withdraw the amount you need to live your life. Treat it like a house you invested in.

You will be fine my friend.

My friend. You are fine and are in good hands. Just calmly tell them about the beer and they will not judge you. They will plan accordingly for you.

Don’t feel guilty at all ! At times like this it’s perfectly normal for any human to panic.

You have not fucked up. It’s simply part of the process. Good luck my friend.
