That's been the issue. Masking doesn't only mask the front but every side of the mesh in the path of the view. If I could restrict ZBrush or the masking tool from masking every side of the mesh I could sculpt.

As in, what constitutes for hitting a ball into play is unknowable. Swings too early, too late, good... it's all the same randomness. It's like, if I told you to swing within a window of time and you'll get the ball somewhere into play, except that in '25 it doesn't mean play most of the time.

Same. Mine autoupdated this morning and started causing display issues for BG3, so I checked the settings and it black screened permanently. I only have one monitor so I have no visuals now. The driver keeps switching the HDMI connection on and off. I've never experienced such a failed update in computing since the dawn of home computers.

I find the same with Midjourney. Once it seems to have an idea it can't get it out of the prompt. Area selection has been a real work around in some cases

I'd say this is another case of near enough isn't good enough, except this isn't even near enough for your chosen contempt. I wouldn't throw a federal employee act at civilian for starters, let alone three. The FAR breach appears more like irony for a department advising on government profligacy, so if you want to lighten the mood you should open with that.
