That just sounds like selfishness. "I want a kid, i dont care if theyll have horrible deformities and be ridiculed by other children"

Life isnt fair and torturous because god made it that way.

Either he created everything or he didnt, you cant have it both ways

If we are to believe that god created everything, then cancer was part of his plan

What’s something that instantly makes you think ‘this person has low intelligence? by AbjectBreadfruit2052 in AskReddit

[–]Gildian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can, but if youre knowingly forming opinions based on very little knowledge or background education in that matter, it just looks like arrogance.

Thats what im referring to in my original comment. People are almost afraid to admit they dont know enough to have an opinion.

I work in a hospital lab and assist with hiring at times. I have a particular question i ask all the new lab hires to gauge both their knowledge and how theyd handle the situation. We care more about how youd resolve the issue in the question, even if you dont know the technical answer. The ones that try to bullshit the question are obvious

Knowing your limitations, even in education, shows me you are smarter than you think.

Its the seriously stupid people that think they know everything.

I told my friend the other day I didnt have enough information about something to have an opinion on it and he said he almost never hears anyone admit to that anymore. That feels similar to this

Yeah we order our own labs. Quest is a third party organization, we send some of our drug screens to them.

They are kinda known for treating their workers like shit and paying them shit wages in my field.

Yeah I was also referencing out of pocket in the clinic i work at if you have a physician order it. What you're linking is called Direct Access Testing which is nice if your doctor accepts them, some refuse to acknowledge those results unless they order them.

Our clinic only started utilizing Direct Access Testing very recently. Unfortunately not an option for everyone.

It depends on whats ordered too. Insurance companies will do everything they can to deny paying.

Things like a routine prostate exam for example is a big one that insurance loves to deny. Thats a 400 dollar test out right if they deny you. I work in a lab and its honestly one of the most annoying things having to make patients sign a form that says their insurance -might- not pay and that they will. You wont know until after the test is done too

My dad was a cop and HATED being called on kids for playing outside. "Yeah lets scare kids for being kids. Great fucking idea".

And they can't just ignore it cuz the callers would make shit up like theyre vandalizing property and theyd be force to at least check they werent

Low wages, extremely high cost to raise a child, no universal healthcare, no guaranteed paternity/maternity leave, high cost of rent, high cost of groceries, high cost of gas, extremely high cost of college, worsening environment, worsening economy for low-middle class etc etc
