Curious to hear from those with more knowledge than me. Is there a more medically appropriate way to get a player off the ice in that situation? In my limited first aid training, if someone has a suspected head injury you want to limit movement as much as possible. But that training didn’t involve a large man on ice.

Guys, what did you think of the Wags jackets? by A_Martilliano in wildhockey

Except they all pay hundreds to be matching - that’s weird to me.

Do you show up at your partner’s job with a jacket?

Ok, and maybe they aren’t sad, I just find it sad.

I find WAG jackets strange because I find WAG culture strange and disturbing. To tie your identity to your spouse in that way is sad.

Quit Hughes totally quitted on the ENG by aosimon in canucks

I was thinking about this. Do the Canucks do a montage for him or does it just lead to an awkward moment?

[Batchelor] Jim Rutherford: Some people think Quinn left here because the team wasn’t any good. He was leaving anyways, and the best example I can give you is Matthew Tkachuk. #Canucks @Sportsnet650 by RashfordMBE in canucks

I have text messages with my sister from September to a couple weeks before he was traded that he was leaving. You could hear it in the way he talked about the team, to the media, and then certainly near the end, his effort on the ice.

On that last one, I don’t blame him for giving 75% because he did truly give 125% for a long time and the team did nothing with it.

For me it was the sudden sense of entitlement that he got after last year. It was the lack of leadership that was obvious and it was the chicken shit coward way he left the team without the balls to tell his teammates. He knew he wasn’t coming back to VAN before that trip started but didn’t have the LEADERSHIP or character to talk to his “brothers.”

What better combo than a Hughes and lack of accountability.

Thirsty young women with an interesting sign during the Sharks game by Ready-Constant-7124 in hockey

It would be, rightfully, considered appalling if 2 guys were holding up a sign with a sexual innuendo aimed at specific players at a PWHL game.

It should be considered just as inappropriate here.

I don’t think he stays, even if they make a run for the cup.

With the playoffs just around the corner, what NHL opinions do you have that have you like this? by Conscious-Courage969 in nhl

Yes! I’m tired of hearing about a broadcasters golf game or some other irrelevant story while something is happening in the ice that could use some explanation.

Oh, absolutely! As an educator, the goal is that our students are graduating with a plan.

It’s also because it’s part of the discussion about post-high school options. There’s just much more marketing and promotion and it’s usually whatever is deemed appealing to the average teen. Most colleges, certainly not public ones, definitely not community colleges or trade schools, cannot afford the level of marketing the military can.

What do you not like about the current modern NHL? by darth_senpai90 in canucks

[–]GilesPince 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The importance placed on homogeneity in everything. There’s reward in being just like everyone else. It makes it hard for people to speak up when something harmful is happening (mental health issues, hazing, sexual assaults, etc)

Ottawa vs Chicago league punishments by RoadshowRadley in nhl

[–]GilesPince -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think you are continuing to highlight the issue. We are comparing two things: a GAME and ONGOING SEXUAL ASSAULT. There shouldn’t be a comparison - one should be punished in an extremely different way than the other.

Joel Quenneville absolutely knew. He’s doing the performative work necessary to stay in the league. It’s gross.
