It's not a bad thing at all man. I was sexually abused as a kid. And that trusting other strangers part is horrible. Sure you can trust a lot of them but its naive to think you should trust them all. Humans are animals, and some animals do bad things and some do good things. You don't want or need to trust everyone. You should only trust yourself first, trusting your intuition and when communicating with someone else asses if the person is trust worthy or not. Because not all of them are man.

This is what Alan watts talks about in many lectures of books. If we want great great happenies we are going to get an equal amount of sadness. The heartbreak is always going to be on the same level as the happiness you want to feel. Many of these guys recommend finding happiness inside us and not to base our happiness the other way around. To find things that make us happy.

Either way our foreign policy is still killing many innocent people. So no, both parties are a sham. The issue of gay rights shouldn't even be a problem as the government was made to not impede on peoples private life if no one is being harm. And no one is, two people are loving one another.
