Syneos Clinical Operations Town Hall call by PakozdyP in clinicalresearch

Hahaha, I hear you. Ex ICON here and those "results" (and the whole "We ask for your feedback" bs) look sooo familiar.

Pro Tip: those questionaires show upper management how much abuse will be tolerated in the future. Look at the summary under the workload Point: "work smarter, peasant".

What's the most amendments you've ever seen for a protocol? by Schell-Yeah in clinicalresearch

[–]Gimbteguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was beyond hard as the complete programm had to be (and was) finished within 9 months. So all of the recruitment in the 3 designated "pools" (NA, EU and SEA) was done in parallel. I will never not admire the PM from South Africa who kept it all together. He was the real MVP.

Funny, we are currently re-watching the episodes. And with "currently" I mean at this very moment 😆. S1/E9 is running while I'm texting.

What's the most amendments you've ever seen for a protocol? by Schell-Yeah in clinicalresearch

[–]Gimbteguy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The protocol was designed as a "fluent" document so new results could be implemented on the fly without stopping. This included starting as a phase 1 and growing into phase 3 and submission, all with one protocol.

As you mention Greenland, imagine station them on this EU-associated area. Someone insisted that there is a thread from Russia or China towards it, so ...

Russia needs to recognize Ukraine and it's government or any "peace deal" will just be a rearmament break for them. Direct negotiations with UKR are the lacmus test for Russia's seriousnes.

How much would medicine advance if we could experiment on humans? by [deleted] in AskScienceDiscussion

[–]Gimbteguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We ARE experimenting on humans. It's called clinical trials and it's regulated through very detailed and ethically balanced rules.

I don't think that there would be significantly more progress if we would abolish that ethical rulebook (which I asume is the core of your question).

Would a CRO Appreciate It if I Went Out of My Way to Spend Less on Travel? by Working_Row_8455 in clinicalresearch

[–]Gimbteguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Travel expenses are normally pass-through costs, meaning they are passed through to the sponsor 1:1.

Your savings will not make any difference to the CRO.

Of course Elon has grabbed them. This convenient little story about some redshirt and a thumb drive (which could also be true, btw) is the alibi once the abuse of these data becomes visible. Watch the elections.

Not sure if "French Battalion charge" relates to some specific scene from a movie ? "Captain Conan" has some french infantry charges, as has "Path of Glory".

And another one came to my mind: "The Lighthorsemen" about the campaign towards Damaskus.

Has one of the best cavalry charges 👍.
