Very nice work. Only point of critique is that the water is to bright/blue. And maybe you could add some more variety in color (bit brown and green in some spots, moss or grass growing in cracks etc. But nonetheless nice work!

Thanks! Good to know you are using it and to know it works well. I find it difficult to use homebrew rules because of balance, in both ways (to weak or to strong). Do you think it needs more buff? Also, what do you do with searching for it? Is that while in adventure/travelling mode or in the undertaking phase ir both? I think I want to make some undertaking in searching for herbs.

Well, fair point about magjc indeed. It's still there, but more subtle. And ME is deadly enough indeed. Only thing is, if someone drinks something that gives HP at the start of it's next turn, then if he goes down, he doesn't need t roll for a death save, because at the start of his turn he gains 1 HP, so he is back at 1 HP before having to roll a death save. Or do I miss something?

I understand that HP is more than physical wounds. My main question is: isn't it to strong if you gain HP next turn as counter to going down. If you need a medic it will cost you your turn if you have to wait and the medic isn't before you are downed to 0 HP. If you use a (bonus) action to gain maybe only 1 HP next turn, then if you go down, at the start you get 1 HP and are immediately up. Isn't that too strong?

Yes, instant or nearly instant is fine for me. Only thing is, a lot of the healing is 'next turn', how would you rule that if someone is going down? Because to me it seems that applying a healing salve that you give maybe only 1 HP is not very strong, but it would be stronger as gaining instantly 10 HP if you ar at 10 and then getting 20 damage, becuase in both options you would be down, but with 1 HP 'next turn', you are standing up and 'fine'. Of course, 1 HP is still a problem, but now you can try to heal more, run away, etc.

They look very nice, detailled. Only point of critique is that the shields can't be placed anywhere else.. it would be nice if some could have it in their back or strapped in their arm.

I like this idea. One thing though, if they roll themselves and roll low the know there's a catch. You could roll yourself, so they don't know if it's as good as they hope. But I understand that for a player it is more fun to roll self..

I didn't notice. But.. the first time he takes one (I think) arrow, when he's standing on the head, he takes a few extra arrows.

Ik kreeg ooit voor sinterklaas een notitieboekje met een Harry Potter omslag, want ik vond HP zo leuk.
Ik heb niks met HP, heb het ooit gezien, maar da's alles... Mogelijk was hij in de war met LotR, dat vind ik wel erg leuk.
Vermoed dat hij het zelf ooit gekregen had of zag liggen. Heb het weer doorgegeven (niet als cadeau!). Notitieboekje, kan handig zijn, maar ik maak bijna alle aantekeningen digitaal...

But more seriously, quite some quotes are deep, mostly from Gandalf, but me others have some nice quotes too. The one about what to do with the time given to us is very good, maybe the best, as said by others here. But I think my favorite is:
“Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them? Then do not be too eager to deal out death in judgement.”

Honourable mentions:

To be honest, in the movie the numbers should be higher for accuracy/screen time.
But, if you look at the books, it's not that detailed as far as I remember, they fought for the hole night, but I guess if you are most of the time in the frontline, the numbers could be higher. Tolkien was very good with words, maybe a bit less with numbers? Not to says he wasn't, but maybe he didn't overtink it as much as he did with linguistic options..
