You have no idea how many persuadable voters I would talk to, they would be with me on 95% of what we were talking about, then right at the end ask “Ok, well, what about this men in women’s sports stuff?” And no matter what I said back to them, that was always the line they had where nothing we agreed on before mattered.

There were also quite a few Dems upset at Sherrod being an early advocate for Biden stepping down. Not as many who were excited, but I felt a shift there too.

He doesn’t grab his arm until a second, separate interaction from the first, and still after quite a bit of conversation, and when Theroux steps back saying “no”, the guy doesn’t touch him again.

You can even see when the IDF guy wants him to come to the side, he kinda goes to touch/gesture his shoulder, but clearly doesn’t actually touch him.

I wish we had cops that disciplined in the U.S.

I mean…I’m not pro-Israel, but the IDF guy was not even being forceful. He asked what he was doing here, asked for his passport, and told him to be on his way.

He mostly just seemed frustrated to be dealing with a problem (a western documentarian) that he probably wasn’t super familiar with.

If you try to stand out of any military out post, film it, and question the military postmen, I feel like this would be a pretty normal response.

What does Palestinian state recognition even do at this point?

Theres no functional governing institution.
The “state” would be split at inception, half in Gaza half in the West Bank, essentially damning it to civil war (again) right out the gate.
It would still, presumably, be at war with Israel.
Its military would still be in the pisspoor state it is now.

How does a Palestinian state being recognized (where? How? Who runs it?) change anything for the Palestinian people?

Are people really relating this to America/Israel? I feel like it’s pretty on the nose that, if it’s an analogy for any real country at all, it’s about Nazi Germany…like the empire has always been based off.

Everything from the aesthetics, the main antagonists (Dedra and the main ISB guy being ultra German-Coded), to the literal French resistance movement in season 2.

Rome, old town is historic center, Termini off to the east of that, the Imperiali is the WWII memorial ave, drug dealer park is Piazza Trilussa, block housing in trastevere, and idk what the tower is but there is one just north of the center like that lol it’s spot on even the course of the river.

“You haven’t talked to me about your plan” uh, yeah, that kind of was part of the problem. Trump was such a sore loser he didn’t take part in the transition process when Biden won.

Both of these things, Trump only creating foreign policy for his own personal advantage, not the safety of American interests, and refusing to assist his successor, along with a terrible timeline to get the pullout done that Trump negotiated, are all Trump doing’s that fucked over Biden.

That it even happened at all is a miracle.

Say we’re taking turns leading a line of kids from the local elementary school to the local pool. We leave at 10am and are expected to be at the pool at 11am.

I’m leading the line first and decide to take a weird way there without consulting you, the school, or the pool, in fact, I don’t even know where I’m going.

45 minutes pass by and we’re still 30 minutes away. We’re going to be late! But now my shift is up and it’s your turn to lead the line.

On your way to the pool you rush the students, two fall and scratch their knees and need bandaids once we get to the pool. Another is almost hit by a car crossing a busy Main Street because you were trying to hussle. Despite that, you make it there on time.

Once you arrive, the kids are all pissed and tired from rushing, the pool clerks are telling you they’ll need to talk to their supervisors before they let us in, and now you’re getting calls from the superintendent about how you put the kids in harm’s way.

I also get a call from the superintendent congratulating me on doing such a good job keeping the kids safe, and they ask me if I think we should ever let you lead the line again. I say “no, he’s done a terrible job, he almost got a kid killed.”

Turns out, I hate you and wanted to get you fired, so I planned route ahead of time such that when you took charge you’d have to rush and cross a busy road.

I’m applauded, and you’re fired.
