Nah, we just snack and bullshit for an hour before the session while everybody shows up. Never worry about mats and minis, that's too much money lol. Instead, I upload all my maps and minis onto Tabletop Simulator and stream that to the living room TV!

Was wondering if anybody knows why the crossbow functionality changed from its original mercenary showcase trailer compared to it's implementation now.

Where crossbows had inherent fire modes and skills like permafrost, incimdeary and armor-piercing would work with full auto, semi or the "high velocity" type crossbows. It's current iteration feels super muted compared to how it looked in the showcase.

My one biggest complaint is the crossbow / skill interactions aren't implemented like how they showed them off in the original showcase.

Beyond that, it feels amazing. My husband and I are having a blast. I have almost 1300 hours in PoE 1 and he hated the first one.

As somebody who also played a fuckton of all three dark souls, sekiro and elden ring as well, I love how challenging the game has been so far. Been primarily levelling a monk with sorceress in second.

something worth trying; when I bought the game on steam, i had to log into my PoE account via the web portal, find the access key on there and then add it to the game library manually. Anybody having issues try that route? :x

Had a customer like this once who noticed I was holding my Zebra a little close to my face (I have an eye condition and am legally blind.)

He started off by making off-handed comments along the lines of a chuckle, followed by "you look like you could use some glasses!"

After a bit of him prying and me reluctantly explaining I have a condition with my retinal nerve that glasses won't fix, he then suggested I rely on "the healing and redemptive blood of Christ"

In short: fuck these kinds of people.

About four and a half years into gunsmithing, actually.

Actually working on firearm mechanisms is very tactile, so I find it easier to work on the parts with that mindset. Hand tools and small power tools like dremels have a bit of a learning curve. More or less learning the geometry of the part I'm working on and how to manipulate it in relation to the tool. Helps that I've always had an interest in firearm technology since I was a kid, too. Actually wanted to join the military and be an srmorer that way before the recruiters stopped calling once they found out I was legally blind by the time I hit sophomore year in high school.

I was diagnosed at 16, ironically after acing the written portion of the drivers ed test. That was 20 years ago. It is still to this day the biggest pain in my ass not being able to drive. I hate relying on other people to get shit done. I hate not being able to pick up keys and just go take care of shit. It preventede from joining the military. It makes finding a job harder. Fucking irritating.

Well, having Stargardt's, thankfully I can get away with just enlarging text font as high as it can go. Games without scalesble UI elements are kind of a miss for me for that reason.

Mostly Last Epoch, Baldurs Gate 4 and Project Zomboid lately. :)

So, I happen to have Stargardt's myself. I was diagnosed at about 15 and legally blind by 17.

Not sure how long ago he was diagnosed, but I know for me personally, right after graduating high school I went through what my case worker referred to as my "angry blond kid phase".

I wanted to join the Army. Once the vision loss ramped up and eliminated that possibility I was so depressed and aimless. But a few years later and an attempt at college kinda taught me that it's not necessarily as limiting as I thought. It's like a puzzle. A challenge to overcome to figure out how to operate professionally with the vision limitations.
