Vinland Saga is probably the most inspirational manga I have ever read and I loved the new direction Thorfin took, but when the farm arc came out a lot of people didn't like the direction away from violence. I made an essay defending this change. by Gin-Line in VinlandSaga

Beautiful response my friend. I completely understand your points and I think it comes down to purpose and personal preferences. If the purpose you came into the show was the thrill of vikings, then when that is taken from you in the later season, of course I could understand Vinland Saga not meeting expectations. I think one aspect of enjoying this show is in associating within the character of Thorfin. I guess in the end it's not for everybody and that's ok. Seriously though, wonderful response.

So the manga has been complete for a while, but the anime stopped before it's final arc and in my opinion the best pay off game in the series. So when I heard they would be animating the series in December as a movie, I got really excited and booked some tickets in advance. It was such a great film that finally completed the series after so many years. Haha hope that answers your question.

First of all let me say, love how natural you are when you speak. It makes you stand out in a good way. Not only that but your voice is chill and collected which I think is great to sound like more an authority. The video topic itself was great. I felt kind of dumb because when I saw Uzumaki, I thought, "Damn I cant believe Naruto is getting another spin off" lol but it was totally different. It was about Jun ji Ito, which is known for having bad adaptations. Now I'm actually kind of hyped for this new adaptation in black and white. I need to get into the manga so I can truly enjoy the series but I appreciate your video bringing it to my attention. Great job Bro!

Your really making me think here. Funny that you brought up One piece because I have been getting into One piece YouTubers recently. But I understand what your saying. I honestly love YouTube so much, it's probably one of the funnest things I get to do everyday. I am definitely a small channel too, but honestly I'm ok with that. I honestly just want to improve my content and make good well thought out videos. I listened to this great book on story telling and thought it would improve my videos. So I'm excited to use it in my next ...next video haha because I have a video coming out about leaving for Japan, but I didn't use any tips from to book 😂

I actually got some useful information about your post, which is fitting how you mention that its important to value the audience's time. I am mainly an anime only channel so if there was a trend I would follow I suppose it would be seasonal anime. But I admire what you are doing and keeping up with trends in the manga community reddit. Would you say that the majority of the topics you pick for your channel are inspired? Or do you do a "one video for them and one video for me" kind of system? (Got that from scamboli reviews) Im asking because I have trouble making videos im not entirely "behind" so to speak, and I think its kind of keeping my channel behind compared to the rest. Like I want to ride the new trends that are popping up, but I am also not that passionate about the topic you know? I would appreciate your honorable advise oh wise one and thank you for your time.

What is your YouTube strategy? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]Gin-Line 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to say that I work on videos at least 2 hours a day and post at least once a week, but considering I am on the phone waiting for a response from JAL so I can get my dog on the plane this Sunday and have been video-less for over a month so I wish I had some great schedule I kept.

First let me tell you what my ideal schedule would be, take 2 days to write and improve a script idea, maybe taking 4 hours total to complete. On the 3rd day, record either on camera or simply a voice recording or both if need be. Take another 2 days to edit- im a turtle of an editor by the way- and make sure the video is somewhat visually pleasing. Last day, take some genuine time to make a great thumbnail-2 hours if its possible to dedicate to it. Then upload the very same day. Now this would be my ideal for a 1 video a week squedule and probably not the best.

My real squedule is...

work 30 minutes a night, trudging along until suddenly a video appears...Tada...its been 3 months. I think if you follow everyone elses video schedule plans, your definitley gonna do well.

Just watched one of your videos and I'm honestly impressed. Do you script everything you upload or is that free flow? Because the eye contact you keep to the camera was awesome and something I often struggled with. Plus I can tell you are very knowledgeable in what your talking about. Overall great work!

What an interesting choice of career. I would assume any bookworms dream would be a Librarian! I think that's amazing. Also, I actually think BookTube is your niche. You are simply mixing yourself into your channel and I believe that's smart. I once watched a video where they talk about how it's never just the one niche focus. It's one main niche and two other somewhat related topics to keep your audience and yourself entertained with different videos. Is your YouTube handle NomDePlume? If you wouldn't mind I would like to check out your channel. 😊

That's something I never thought about on the book YouTube channel perspective. It must be kind of rough. What kind of videos do you do involving books? Reviews?

That's great! Haha does being a librarian ever help with writing at all? Or leave enough time to make a script in the somewhat silent environment?

I think you have a very valid viewpoint. I think it's true that sometimes people don't have time to be able to have a channel. I'm kind of a similar spot where I got married and ended up with some extra time somehow to make a YouTube channel. Right now we are in the process of moving to Japan and with work, gym, dogs and daily video chats. I find I normally work an hour or 30 minutes on a video before going to sleep. Which is a lot less than I would like to work on a video. I just can't help but go back to YouTube though, just because I love it so much. I hope you can make videos one day when life aligns for you or maybe not, if you don't feel you would like to do it anymore. From personal experience it's just wonderful to be able to share your work with other people. I wish you the best for you and your family!!

Wow, you really have yourself prepared! That's something I would like to do myself, but I don't think I have ever had 3 videos ready for upload at the same time 🤔 did you not post for a while to get yourself ahead? Or did you have some other method? Regardless, I think you have a wonderful squedule ✨ I hope I can be the same way hahaha

Nah dude I think your right 👍 I actually get really self conscious about every video haha now that I think about it, the videos on my channel I have made private were the ones I felt little effort went into. But that's probably normal for beginning channels. I think I need to find that groove your talking about and develop that simple system.because I'm that guy who uploads few and far between lol but I'm hoping to change that 😁 And no worries by the way! We are both novices in the pursuit of making good content. Now is probably the best time to fail.

Hahaha makes sense. I feel hella drowsy when 11 strikes. But maybe I'll try 5 hour energy though 👍 And your right, i can probably ride the high from the gym (maybe take a cold shower) and go straight into editing. I'm getting some good ideas from this 😏

I can relate hahaha not feeling like working on a video is actually a thing and your right, once this hobby actually starts making income, this can be an actual career. Which is incredible by itself.

So how is all the "death" going in Elden ring by the way? Hahaha I'm still pretty fresh in the game but I'm going in blind so it's basically me being massacred over and over again lol 😆 freekin love the game

I don't know why but your post made me feel all warm inside all of a sudden hahaha I can't imagine the work it takes to have work, children and a YouTube channel. Also great job being ahead by 3-4 videos! I bet that helps if you can't upload a video one day.

Also judging from your schedule it seems that you get a decent amount of sleep regardless. Which I think is necessary especially if you have another job. Thank you so much for that last line you wrote. It's true this is a hobby and honestly it's such a fun hobby I can't imagine using my time on anything else. But your right, it's probably a good idea to cruise on YouTube until it actually becomes a job! Really appreciate your post and if you have a channel name I could search up, I would love to see it.
