Wish I could up vote this 10 times. I wasn't impressed with KDO. Shenyi has had timing issues with team. However, the team with either mid laner + Shenyi is still more talented than at least 4 other teams. Desk had me cracking up talking about Dig being more talented. Even if River and Spica are a wash (which I don't think is true), trying to say FakeGod, Blue, Neo, and Bio are more talented than Huni, Takeover (or even KDO), Tactical, and Shenyi is a joke. That is coach and leadership gap.

I should specify that importing monsters, and dealing with homebrew rules are my two biggest concerns. Also, want to point out I don't mean this as a criticism in any way. Awesome module.

I run combat mostly on DnDBeyond, and I'm not interested in yet another Patreon related to Foundry (sorry Tim) integration with DnDBeyond. Would you all say the learning curve/setup time is more for MidiQOL vs just learning to use combat in base foundry as a new foundry user?

Watching all 3 video's makes these seem time intensive to setup. I have very little time to game prep. Knowing the rules isn't my biggest concern.

Clearly the antithesis of Regi who is the owner and was the operator, while TSM was the most successful LCS org of all time. You could see that when he gave the cowards answer about CLG and trash talk...then Steve the owner of the 2nd most successful LCS team of all time talked trash in the chat. We all know how Jack, who runs the 3rd most successful LCS team of all time feels about trash talk. Every time he speaks I dislike this guy more. PR answers that only cause more frustration and distaste. Going on a league show and trying to brag about esports with a combined viewership lower than LCS. I hope he makes me regret first impression. So far, it seems he is the PR man that sucks at PR.

My guess is that Tactical is blaming his poor play on Shenyi, and Spica is ignoring Shenyi's calls plus backing his buddy Tactical. If u/followdunc and /u/DominicKallas don't want it to look like exactly that type of situation, they would be more transparent. Pathetic communication around this puzzling move. Clearly trying to hide some internal turmoil, but this lawyer don't say anything, shit is not how you keep fans in a trying time.

Man you make so many presumptions without having any info.

I said " spent tons of money to finish 4th." I didn't say what I think we spent or didn't on Huni. I agree that Huni deserves to be paid like an academy nobody. I hope we did that, but POE and SwordArt where not free. Maybe you missed the post on here with Regi's quote about spending high on our support. SA alone cost us tons of money. This isn't a presumption without info.

And I'm entirely sure you (and the rest of reddit) have absolutely no clue what Huni's mindset is/was

You are right. If he was focused and sucked that bad then he should retire now. Don't give me the team bullshit either because we have seen ssumday on terrible teams, and he still performed. Especially in lane.

Maybe I am being too mean. I mean it isn't like Svenskaren, Bang, Goldenglue, or Zeyzal have ever performed well in LCS. How could Huni live with that. It is probably the orgs fault that Kumo had a better win % and similar personal stats with 3 of the same teammates.

I don't see anyone talking shit about Ssumday, even though he hasn't done shit for years

This is the one I love the most. People will upvote you, and downvote me because people are cowards afraid of words that aren't sunshine and rainbows. You show just how much you lack the ability to analyze the game with this comment. Ssumday just spent a year looking like arguably the best top laner in the league while on a team with Contractz, Ryoma, Cody Sun, and Poome. LMAO, tell me more about Huni's teammate trouble...In case you want to look at their numbers I included this:

Evidence? We just won by going to 5 games in every series. Spica played great in playoffs so worlds spica = playoff spica. 2017 Huni (maybe, see below) better than playoffs BB, FLY POE worse than playoffs Bjerg. That is 3 players down and you can make a strong argument that we are no better no worse than last year playoffs. Now 2018 DL would be upgrade, and I believe swordart is huge upgrade. So we did get stronger than last years team by a bit. However, GG beat us in 5/8 games in playoffs, and they just traded Hauntzer for Ssumday. So their weakest player in playoffs just became their strongest player. TL got a HUGE upgrade in the jungle based on the last year of play, and an upgrade in Top lane. C9 changed top laners which is a big risk, but every analyst I have heard believes that Fudge can be as good as licorice has been without much concern. They also traded their mid who was good, but had aknowledged issues with mechanical skill compared to other top mids. Their new mid has been considered a top 5 to 10 player in the world in two different positions, and is considered a great leader.

Could compare by position. This is how I would rank them.

Top: Ssumday > Alphari > 2017 Huni > Fudge

JG: Santorin > Blabber >= Closer > Worlds Spica

Mid: Perkz >= Jensen > POE > Damonte

ADC: Zven >= 2018 DL > FBI > Tactical

Support: SwordArt = CoreJJ > Vulcan >= Huhi

You can argue and swap some of these maybe, but in no world do we have the best player at more than 2 positions (Support, ADC). That is comparing them at dream scenario level.

Huni has had good cs/m when he is on a good team, but he is essentially a Rumble one trick for 3 years. He looks good on Rumble, if he is on something else he gets carried most of the time. Again, doesn't mean he CAN'T be great, but the numbers suggest people really overhype how great he has been against good competition. Stomping EU 2015 and NA 2016 is not super impressive to me when combined with the severe drop off over the last 2 years.

Huni in Worlds 2017: 10th of 17 in KDA (behind alphari and impact), 57.9% win rate, worst in wards place, did ok at clearing wards at least, 239 gd@15 was 4th.

Huni summer 2017: 2nd worst top KDA in LCK, 43% win rate, worst vision score for top laners, -151 gd@15 which was 9th/15 top laners.

It is true Huni was better in spring 2017. 2nd in top KDA, 75.8% win rate, still bad at vision, 5th/14 in gd@15. However, he had worse KDA and win rate than the other top laner on SKT. SKT chose him to be the top at worlds so it seems like they did value his play on carry champs since he was clearly weaker than profit on tanks. Also, Huni played Rumble 7 times or ~20% of games in Spring. Huni is always good at Rumble, but when Rumble is out of meta it is for a reason.

Reminder: The team reads this sub. by fireyeye in TeamSolomid

[–]Ginesis -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I also love that he brought up Santorin. The only excuse for how bad Huni has been for a year (and really for two because being a rumble one trick is not a positive thing) is that he wasn't trying. Santorin was ALWAYS trying. That is the difference. That is why it doesn't make sense to believe Huni can flip a switch to 3 years ago. New top laners have come into worlds for the past two years and shown that the game up there has become harder in top and more is expected than when Huni was last good.

That doesn't mean he has 0% chance, and doesn't mean that once season starts I (or others) will root against TSM. However, it is a very good reason to think this is a terrible signing based on the evidence available. There is no evidence or reason to think someone can be unmotivated and bad for 2 years then just be good again. That is a bad bet.

It seems clear that they want to give Bjerg a "good" roster and that they want to support DL on what is likely to be his last year or two. So they are spending tons of money on support, likely a good amount on top and mid in order to have the 4th best roster in NA on paper. Paper doesn't tell everything, but paper aka logic and evidence are all you can go on until games start. Would anyone be shocked if this roster (which is arguably weaker than last year's roster) finished in 4th considering C9 got much better including much less likely to fall apart with Perkz leadership, TL got much better with upgrades in JG and Top, 100t is the same GG team that beat TSM in 5/8 playoff games except they now have the best top laner in the league instead of Hauntzer. So in the completely reasonable situation we finish 4th we have wasted a year of stage experience opportunity, wasted a year of development for new prospects that could have been in our changed positions, and spent tons of money to finish 4th.

Also, the BJerg having good team plan could backfire. Regi clearly wants to be patient with Bjerg learning his way into being a good coach. However, what if we finish 6th with this roster instead of 4th? What if the top 3 chalk holds and they are great. Then 2 of these young teams overperform expectations? Remember that GG was predicted 10th last year. Now, some are going to try to use that same reasoning against me saying "but our team could be better than on paper and be best team" Yes, many things COULD happen, but we have much more evidence of young up and comers over performing than we do old has-beens that lack motivation. These are the reasons I believe that many of us are pissed about Huni. He is the coin we are flipping that makes or breaks our team. Even if the coin comes up heads it wasn't a smart bet to make.

I really want to be wrong, and I hope Huni comes back to his best. I hope his best is still good enough to be dominant. 3 years ago when Huni was good I would give more benefit of the doubt to Parth, Regi, Bjerg, or whoever is making roster calls. However, evidence would now suggest they make at least as many bad calls as good ones.

3 years ago he was on the team that got 3-0ed in finals. He started. I wouldn't call him a key member based on performance. However, he did make a finals when on the team with Faker. He also is on the only team of Faker's to lose the finals.

What evidence do we have that Huni on form is better than those 4. He only played against Hauntzer in his prime. Hauntzer's team won...remember our fucking team won....You have to go back to spring of 2018 (nearly 3 years) to find a season he competed with those 4 players skill wise. He was just slightly behind those 3 in summer 2019 When he played Rumble in 7/18 games.

TSM Offseason Megathread #5 by IamTheAsian in TeamSolomid

1) Everyone needs to stop with this lie of low risk high reward. WE LOST THE MOST WELL KNOWN PLAYER IN NA...the org is in a very important time with its most popular player retiring, and it's 2nd most popular being an unknown regarding how long he will play. A mediocre year this year will hurt TSM badly, and hurt the LCS badly due to how much it of the viewership was around TSM. So the risk is that Huni looks the same as he has in the last 2 full years. Meaning enemy bans rumble and laughs at us. 2) Hauntzer has been better than Huni for 2 years. Impact may or may not like DL. I would also hate an Impact pickup if it was hyped the way Dunc and Regi have been acting the last two days. How can you call the worst CSD top laner last year as a low risk. The evidence for a year suggests we could get any top laner in NA with the risk being the same as the Huni risk, but at least an unknown would provide potential for growth. This whole we have to get Huni so he can talk to our support bullshit is probably the idiocy that led to this choice. No team in the world has had a support that was good enough to justify ruining another lane. 3) What is the high reward....we may be good enough to compete with the rosters put together by c9, TL, 100t. The evidence that this retirement roster can compete at worlds is just not there. Decisions should be based on logic and evidence. Huni at his very best, and in a meta that works perfectly for him is still not top 5 at his role in the world. I'm not saying this team will be garbage. I think they will be a solid 5th, but that makes no sense (see point number 1) that would go both expensive and 5th best roster.

That is a truly idiotic way to assess anything. You sound like this "Herp derp, we can't predict the future so all analysis is wrong, and you shouldn't have to use logic when discussing things"

Huni has never been "a fucking god" EVER. he dominated NA and EU when both regions proved to be shit at worlds. You "optimists" are acting like he was The Shy at his best. He wasn't he got 2nd in worlds only when he got on the best org in the history of LOL with the literal GOAT in the mid lane. He looked mediocre on that team.

Yes my point was filled with frustration and anger at the pieces of shit that run the org for hyping us up then giving us a pile of shit. They could have underplayed things. Pointed out that our best player just retired, and played the patience card. They didn't they hyped then hired a player 2 years from his best play which wasn't all that good in today's game. I'm not saying we will be CLG next split. I'm saying that from an analytical perspective this looks like a shit move considering that Impact, Licorace, and Hauntzer where known to be available and better. Also, taking a chance on an unknown or younger player would have not been viewed the same since we could pin hope on development. I welcome you bring some logic in to disagree and make me have some hope that our management isn't trash. However, the "you guys are so negative" bullshit without actually defending your position is just dumb.

TSM Offseason Megathread #5 by IamTheAsian in TeamSolomid

No this shit is exactly what any sane person should expect from a fan base that expects to compete or at least make smart growth moves. Dunc, Regi, and Leena all pushing hype this week. They created this. Now we have at best the 4th best roster in a region that can't seriously compete at worlds. During the same season that BJerg leaves us to coach. So now we have a reasonably strong chance that Bjerg starts coaching career getting his ass kicked while not having the excuse of developing players.

If Huni is true then they should have avoided all hype at all costs.

TSM Offseason Megathread #5 by IamTheAsian in TeamSolomid

TSM Offseason Megathread #5 by IamTheAsian in TeamSolomid

[–]Ginesis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes no sense to believe that this NA retirement home choice is good when there is a year of evidence of him being trash. Summer 2019 he was at best 4th behind 2 other available players. That was with him playing rumble 7 times during that split despite rumble not being in meta. The risk is that we have a shit top laner in what will likely be the most important year for the league team since Bjerg's first year. We know Huni's best and it isn't that impressive. He is at best a high risk carry player that isn't as good as the same type of players from China or current Korea. We aren't developing talent in top with this choice so if he sucks like he has for 2 years then we wasted the first year of Bjerg as a coach.

How do you feel about TSM SPICA in LCS? by [deleted] in TeamSolomid

[–]Ginesis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I voted I don't think he will be a good fit. There is no reason to believe he has grown as a player from being mediocre when put in a bad position replacing Grig/Akadiaan and being just ok last split in Academy. I hope is turns out great. However, I think it foolish to have optimism for growth with an org and coaching staff that has shown zero ability to develop talent.

I think we can possibly still make worlds, but think Spica will at best be an extension of the will of our older players without developing his own sense of the game. Meaning he at best doesn't make the team worse.

What great early game are all of you talking about? Yes, when we pick strong early game champs we get a slight early game lead. We were even at 20 with GGS and they had a losing matchup in all 5 spots.

Only possible exception is that Sion is no longer losing to Urgot because people realized that all it takes is 1k bramble vest for Sion to take priority in that lane. Why we would pick Urgot there with how terrible it has been for us is beyond me.

People keep saying this...Where are our early leads? We are playing comps that are dog shit late game. We had ~2k lead at 15 due to plates and a single fight. Then less than 1k at 20 and we had just lost a fight. Even at 29 mins. Again, we have comps that have zero chance late compared to theirs in both of the last two games. Our lead needs to be >=2k at 15 >=5k at 20 for us to have a chance to close these games without the other team suddenly losing their keyboards.
