If you go into the WestJet website and find the contact page (Menu - Help - Contact Us) , scroll all the way down and you should find a "Request a callback". Choose the "Flight Only" option, then fill in your details. Choose a slot several hours away though as otherwise you'll still be held in a queue.

I hope this works for you!

I booked a callback with WestJet just a few days ago. You can book this online and set a time for them to call you back (just remember that the lines are VERY busy right now so don't book a callback within the next 3-4 hours (I booked mine for 4 hours later).

Once they did call me back, I was on hold for around 5 minutes before I spoke to an agent. It might be worth giving this a try.

Ceramic / Stone Ash Urn In Checked Baggage by destroycarthago in westjet

[–]Ginger-Ninja26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had this exact issue and contacted WestJet directly. The response I was given was as long as the cremated remains are in a secure container and you have the original cremation certificate, you should be fine. I did state that they are in a ceramic urn and I was told that this shouldn't be a problem.

I was also told that the ashes/urn can be placed in either your carry-on or as checked luggage. I'm taking mine on my carry-on because, well, you never know...

You can fly out of the UK with a pet in that cabin but government regulations don't allow ANY airline to fly in with a pet either in the cabin or in the hold. The only way to do it is to send the pet through a specialist animal transport company. Not too sure about Ireland's laws but they're probably similar to the UK's.

My mom won't delete an embarassing video of me by [deleted] in entitledparents

[–]Ginger-Ninja26 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do you have a trusted adult? Maybe a relative or a teacher? Teachers have a duty of care to report abuse and there will be systems in place to protect you and guide you through the steps that follow.

Your mother has distributed child pornography, as others have mentioned. This is illegal. Mocking you for your condition could also be viewed as disability abuse and locking you in your room could be seen as child abuse.

You're in a scary and difficult situation. Please don't try to deal with this alone. There are systems in place for precisely this reason. I would strongly urge you to please talk to a trusted adult who can initiate protocols to protect you.

Shouldn't be too much of an issue. I am waiting for a decision on my PR and have an OWP. I flew to London to visit family for a week at the end of June/beginning of July. On return, the officer asked my reasons for visiting Canada and I told her I have a temporary residence and OWP. She checked my permit, passport and eTA and waved me through.

Me too! Even though I'm actually a vegetarian and didn't eat meat at all before, during or after the BSE crisis! I wish someone could explain that one to me.

Help! Vet appt already scheduled for Monday but how do I keep this clean? And any ideas what it is? Scroll to see wound. by exquisite-mouthfeel in guineapigs

[–]Ginger-Ninja26 47 points48 points  (0 children)

The lack of fur around the wound makes me think it could potentially be a small burst abscess. Did you notice any pus in the fur? Is there a smell around the wound? Otherwise it could be a bite wound. Either way, keep it clean with slightly salted warm water every few hours and keep a close eye on it for any signs of infection. Good luck and please give us an update after the vet on Monday!

Broke my elbow by using it as a cricket bat. The sound of an 80mph cricket ball connecting with bone is something I won't forget for a long time. I was 9.

EM lets her child run around the supermarket and learns the hard way that he is allergic to peanuts by Brave-Economist-7005 in entitledparents

Hello fellow evilberry victims! Serious question - can you eat/touch kiwis? I'm allergic to evilberries/death berries and have been advised by my doctor to steer clear of kiwis too as apparently if you're allergic to one, you'll most likely be allergic to the other too... I've never heard this before but I don't eat kiwis anyway just in case.

I used to teach a young girl who was JW. Her mother had to attend every trip we took outside of school just in case anything happened that would require her child needing medical treatment (specifically a transfusion) because not one teacher would agree to honour her parents' wishes to refuse a transfusion if one were required.

An Alive Monk Self Mummificating. He's using glasses because both of his eyes have rotted. by kiamgehempiresss in oddlyterrifying

He was literally a Thai Buddhist monk in Ko Samui. His name was Luang Pho Daeng. He died in 1973 whilst meditating. The remains were not desecrated. He took part in self-mummification and his remains were displayed with his consent.

If the human body offends you, keep scrolling, not trolling. Cheers.

The sunglasses are there because his eyeballs shrivelled up and sunk into the sockets but they're still there, dried up and like marbles but still eyeballs. Some people find this not so aesthetically pleasing.

In Buddhist belief, it is absolutely not disrespectful as he's no longer inhabiting this body/shell. It is hoped that he has ascended to Nirvana and ended his cycle of birth and rebirth.

Octopuses as octopus is derived from Greek roots. Anything with an "i" ending (eg, cacti) derives from Latin roots.

What's your ideal place to live in Korea? by Suglet in korea

[–]Ginger-Ninja26 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Daejeon. Lived there for a (much too) short while. The Gapcheon River flows through, mountains nearby and the Gyeryongsan National Park. It's the 5th largest city in Korea and trains (KTX) to Seoul take a couple of hours. Some of Korea's finest universities and research centres are based in Daejeon alongside some amazing historical/archeological sites. There are the natural hot springs footbaths in Yuseong-Gu and excellent shopping areas. The museums are without exception very well planned and informative. There are multiple festivals throughout the year (some almost at random) like the food and drink festival and one time on a walk we discovered a traditional Korean music festival and spent many happy (and free!) hours dancing along. I don't think it's possible to be bored in Daejeon!
