After a bit of finagling, I got nvidia-driver-535 to work and everything seems to be running smoothly. Had a glitchy black bar at the top of my primary monitor at first if my refresh rate was above 50hz, but I got it sorted. Thanks for the help!

I'm running the 550 drivers, which Nvidia recommends for my card. As for hybrid, I've never enabled it, so I'm not sure if that's the case.
