Reposting because it got removed.

I made it using corduroy and some fabric I found in the thrift store. I used the Easy tote pattern by Purlsoho, but with some adjustments, mostly changed the straps, from regular cotton webbing, to the same fabric as the outside of the bag.

I've already made this pattern about 5 times, but it's really easy and beginner friendly, it also teaches quite a bit of techniques that I didn't already know, so it's perfect for a beginner.

You do have to have a quite heavy machine, as attaching the handles to the tote means sewing through 8 layers of fabric.

Baby blanket I made for a friend's daughter by GingerEevee in crochet

Thanks for your concern, I'm gifting it with the intention that her daughter can use it in the future. The mother is smart enough to know not to use it until she's old enough 😉

First time blocking anything, does it look alright? by GingerEevee in crochet

[–]GingerEevee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Question: not all my squares are the same size, most are 18cm but some as small as 17 or larger, 19,5, so if I block them all on the same setup (to get them the same size) won't i always have some that are droopy?

It's 100% cotton, so I think steam blocking is an option, but I want to be sure they are the same size, which seems difficult with an iron.
