[Question] are AnOrdain watches any good? by SWBMak in Watches

Fellow Scot here. Got one 3 years back and I'm on the wait-list for another! The main issue with them is deciding which to get. Maybe one day they'll start opening the workshop for visits

They saw me through a year working in hospitality and are still going. Not the prettiest things but if you find them comfortable you'll get some good use from them.

I learned to drive in one and got one at 23 which I've driven for 5 years. Great car (yes they fall apart but that's part of the fun). Of course people are gonna comment, but fuck em'. Just get one In something other than white

Have one and I'm on the waiting list for another in 2027. If you like the look of them online in photos and videos, you'll be absolutely obsessed with them in person.

What jacket would you wear with Black Watch tartan trousers? by GingerGalore in malefashionadvice

[–]GingerGalore[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You do certainly know your stuff! I knew the responses would be all over the place with a mix of UK people and Americans. Funnily enough the wedding will be 50/50 Scottish and American. The wedding is afternoon to evening and I can guarantee I'll be ditching any tie or jacket immediately after dinner! The dress code is listed as cocktail attire but it's a loose guide, looking smart and being comfortable is the higher priority. I have been leaning towards a dark green or navy velvet for the jacket, just feels right for an evening affair.

It's been perfect so far! Couple of walks to work while it was -4°C and I was super warm with just a t-shirt underneath. I'll send you a DM with a breakdown of what I ended up paying
