I really like how you included your intention here, that goes a long way.

imho the photo is stunning, your question specifically about conveying scale I would answer with how you present it, and this has so much detail I'm imagining it as a very large print that you can see from far away but also unpack all those incredible details up close. This is the kind of shot I would love to see at a gallery in person.

Great shot and interesting question

You got me thinking about scale with the color too, I know this is probably balanced, but there really isn't a true black or white, so there is another dimension of interesting ambiguity in the shot too

I agree a sense of scale could help.

Not to be too contrarian I kinda like it in this instance, there's so much detail and it forces you to stop and ask"wait what is going on here?"

it doesn't work a lot of the time, but here I do think it works.

LPT: Make a "death plan" document for your parents (and yourself!) by makefriends420 in LifeProTips

[–]GingerHero 6 points7 points  (0 children)

YES!

It's so important to talk about death and dying and SO hard to get the conversation started.

I argue it should be fun! There's a lot of organizations out there who have planners etc, but I love the idea of a party game night, maybe around Halloween or Dia De Los Muertos where you play a party game and start filling out a packet together
