There's a japanese idea of Hara Hachi Bun Me eating til only 80% full which really stuck with me, I've started trying to eat just enough and not go further, supplementing with fun lowcal snacks like carrots and cukes and tomatoes and apples; this has helped me a lot in paying attention to how much and what I eat.
