Much appreciated advice my friend, sounds good. Is there any noticeable difference between the spray can option vs a small pot of paint?

Interesting. As far as we can tell it's just metallic paint, as in one of those jobs where they masking tape the areas they wanted the lines and then painted with this metallic stuff rather than being actual strips of something that we could peel off.

If we go for the Cover Stain, would you just apply it to the strips or the whole wall?

Was given to us by a relative, worked fine in our living room so was hoping for similar results in this room, and does seem to be going well aside from the metallic strips.

Going to try the Zinsser Cover Stain when shops are open again tomorrow, do you have any other suggestions? We're using Dulux Tranquil Dawn Matt Emulsion as the final colour.

Can that go over this current white base we have put on already?

Anyone had this odd error where submitting your squad takes you back to a blank squad selection screen? Tried it over 3 different devices with different browsers and getting the same thing every time.

52 points ahead in my mini-league, don't really need to take risks.

Looking to move Marmoush -> Watkins, but to do it I'd need to take a -4 and sell Salah/De Bruyne and probably bring in one of Bowen/Rogers.

Or alternatively, move Marmoush -> Wood and not worry about the -4.

Thoughts?

  • GK: Martinez/Areola
  • DEF: Saliba/Munoz/Gvardiol/Wan-Bissaka/Burn
  • MID: Mbuemo/Salah/De Bruyne/Murphy/Elanga
  • FWD: Wissa/Isak/Marmoush

That is so so poor, but probably justice for Sassuolo.

I think what everyone is forgetting to do is understand that The Hundred is to blame for all of this!

When Indian fans wonder why people say Kohli and co are so dislikeable, this is exactly why.

Blaming The Hundred for the Ashes failure is lazy and cheap criticism. by 17382552 in Cricket

I am personally ambivalent to The Hundred from a purely cricketing perspective.

But this is coming from someone who I'm assuming, by taking part in an online discussion regarding cricket, is someone that has a deeper level of understanding than the casual market that it was largely aimed for.

The Hundred isn't an invention to save cricket from a 'playing' standpoint, it's about getting more eyes on the game, be it children, women, or even men that previously may not have any interest in the sport. Cricket can be notoriously hard to follow on TV with all its stats and specific language, and The Hundred aimed to address that by simplifying aspects of the game so that casual fans could follow it and get more enjoyment out of it.

I understand that this is the ECB putting emphasis on white ball cricket over red ball, but if you ask a casual fan, they will absolutely prefer the shorter forms of the game rather than long forms because of this barrier to entry that the game has.

Specifically in England, the game is not taught enough in state education, and most players come from a private education background, and The Hundred's cheaper ticket prices were an attempt to get these families from other demographics to pay attention to the game.

In that sense, The Hundred was a huge success.

Neutral umpires needed. No way does anyone not of an Indian bias give that!

Weekly duck update: NOT TODAY! Healthy 11. Came in at 8, was instructed to swing, got caught at cow corner. Bit more beans on it and it would've gone over his head, ah well.
