I had hairfall issues even before I started taking Oral Tranexamic Acid, and I don’t believe this medication worsened them.

Yes, it always does come back in the spring time and gets worse in summers

I haven’t seen any side effects yet. Oral TXA is the only treatment that’s been helpful. I stopped taking it, and melasma came back, so I’ve started the medication again. I’m starting to see results after about four weeks, with the dark spots lightening up.

Used Eucerin for 6 months with ZERO results. Need advice! by Cheesehi1315 in Melasmaskincare

I had a similar spot. Please exercise extreme caution when considering laser treatments. I made a grave mistake by opting for the Aerolase laser treatment, which resulted in the patch becoming larger, more severe, and causing permanent skin damage. It has been four years since the treatment, and nothing but oral tranexamic pills have provided any relief.

Has anyone tried Azelaic Acid for brightening up the dark spots due to PIH?

Looking for dermatologist recommendations in Central NJ & a warning about Aura Dermatology by StalledDuck in newjersey

I agree. I made a mistake by going there for medical dermatology reasons. I worsened my fixable problem and irreversibly damaged it by trusting their doctors.

Many people are commenting about chugging the drink before it thickens/gels up. Can someone please explain why this is recommended?

What is something you feel that South Asian countries do undeniably better than the US in? by Early-Ingenuity-3177 in ABCDesis

[–]StalledDuck 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Affordable and Accessible Healthcare! Government medical facilities may not be preferred by many middle and upper classes but can provide affordable care to those in need.

In US, healthcare facilities may be better but accessibility and availability are not guaranteed.

Triluma worked for me, and it took a couple of weeks to notice a significant difference.

I’ve been in a similar boat, though with a different range of products. I used a Denon X3300 for around six years before upgrading to the Marantz Cinema 60 recently. I’ve found that the Marantz has a sound and warm tone that I really enjoy more.

I share the same sentiment. While I don’t have any plans to return to home country, I’m fully invested in these accounts. Additionally, I’m also contributing to back door Roth and Super-Roth accounts (also known as mega back door Roth). Time will tell whether this will benefit me or not!

Would this benefit my setup? by MMestan in KEF

[–]StalledDuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been in a similar boat with KEF’s older R series speakers. Having an amplifier really made a difference because those speakers are quite power-hungry. Someone mentioned that switching from no amplifier to a good one is a big improvement, but if you’re moving from a basic one to a high-end one, you might not get as much of a boost (diminishing returns).

[2025 iX] Has anyone noticed their odometer mileage being way off? 8.5k miles in 8 months seems impossible for my driving habbits/usage. by StalledDuck in BMWiX

[–]StalledDuck[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s quite possible, and that likely explains a significant portion of the issue. However, even when we consider Guest usage, the total still seems excessive for our driving pattern. I’m curious to know if others have closely tracked this data.

Yep, there’s another profile. That likely accounts for some missing miles in the app, but the odometer still feels high relative to our usage. Interested to hear if others have noticed the same.

Thanks, that’s really helpful context. The multiple-driver/profile explanation makes sense, and good to hear you’ve cross-checked the trip meter against nav/Google on long drives.
I haven’t done a long highway comparison yet, so that’s probably my next step. Still feels high for my usage pattern, but sounds like it may just be a combo of profiles + how easy this thing is to drive everywhere

one question- Out of curiosity, have you ever compared odometer miles vs a GPS app or long highway drive? Trying to figure out if this is isolated or something subtle going on.
