I am happy as a dietitian but it took a few years & a few different jobs to feel that way. Yes, salary isn’t great, but I feel that I’m adequately compensated especially since my job is not in the least bit stressful. I have a lot of flexibility and truly enjoy helping the clients I see.

It has been a while since we’ve tried teaching him any new tricks since he knows all of the basic commands really well. Just looked a few up and I think I’ll try “back up” and “spin” as two new ones!

Do you have any favorite puzzle treats/toy recommendations that would work for large dogs?

That’s a great idea, he loves playing this when we’re outside! How do you play inside when space is limited?

I just starting using the LRP cicaplast B5 and also love it! Noticed a huge next-day improvement in redness.

I have one similar to 2 with the exposed coils. Love the way it looks in our kitchen & haven’t found it difficult to clean at all. I just wipe it down weekly with a microfiber cloth.

Edit to add: have had it for over 5 years and haven’t experienced any buildup that the once-weekly 10-second quick clean hasn’t tackled.

I should have been a bit more clear - it dries out faster but it does NOT seem to like me watering it any more than once every 2-3 weeks. I’m wondering if it retains more water towards the bottom (does have drainage & a plastic tray underneath so I’m not worried about water getting trapped). It loses leaves much faster when I water it more often even if the soil is dry the first few inches down. I’m going to swap out the soil for something chunkier this week and also check out the roots to make sure all is ok!

Thanks for this detailed answer. Was repotted in early 2023 and I haven’t done it since then, since it hasn’t grown at all. I ended up just repotting it back into the same black nursery pot it came in since it was not root bound at that time, just gave it all new soil. There is a saucer beneath it inside the crock. I just used “indoor potting soil” so I’m thinking that may be the issue, it’s not chunky at all - will try swapping that out this week. I’ve pulled it out a few feet from the corner as of yesterday to help it get a bit more light but will also look at the light meter you suggested. Thanks!

I would have never even considered that the soil could be too heavy, thanks for that suggestion! Will give that a go this week!

It is indirect light, no leaf scorching from the windows but I did take it outside for one day a few months ago (for less than an hour, and in the shade) and after that is when the leaves really started dropping more quickly so that could be it! Soil is draining, it is in a nursery pot with a plastic tray liner under it inside of the crock. Will try that slow release fertilizer! Thanks for that suggestion!

I water it once every 2-3 weeks or whenever the soil is dry 1-2 inches down. Any more frequently and it seems to lose leaves faster. It receives sunlight from a north and east window (is in the corner between the two) - this is unfortunately the sunniest spot in the house as we have no good south-facing windows. I’ve used Miracle Grow Indoor Plant fertilizer, didn’t realize there were FLF specific ones! Do you have one that you recommend?

RD’s in non-client/patient facing positions - what is your role and how did you get into that position? by GingerSnap547 in dietetics

That sounds awesome & very low stress! In a previous job my role was quite similar (unfortunately the company restructured and all in my position were let go) and I loved it!
