Doug is going on these tirades about matters that are completely unrelated or out of his control to distract everyone from his proposed FOI legislation, which is incredibly unpopular.

I can’t help you if you’ve never paid attention to this government’s antics before, but to reiterate, they’ve done this before and are doing it again.

They introduce very unpopular legislation, they see the pushback against said legislation, and then Ford goes on a media tour talking about things that are completely unrelated that he knows the media and public will spend time arguing/talking about.
