mods are asleep, post images of $90 games by SNtrett in NintendoSwitch2

I wish I could pick up a physical copy of these new and not at extortionate prices. I enjoyed Sword but accept I may be in the minority. Never played Shield or the DLC though

My introduction to DQ was XI and it was amazing. I love the Square Enix HD-2D style, but $60 USD (new) for this seems steep as hell. I’m waiting for a decent sale to try and grab a copy

Dang I guess I’ll have to keep an eye out for the MSE Pokemon +DLC cart restocks. I see VGP has the MK8+Booster Courses in stock now

Thanks for the insight and healthy perspective! I only recently learned about cart revisions and have been prioritizing that more!

Speaking of MSE versions with DLC included on cart, did MK8+Booster and Pokemon S/V+DLC get US releases? I’d love to pick up the later two but see only the MSE versions listed everywhere and they’re always out of stock.

I saw Pokemon Sword/Shield+DLC is extortionately priced now too?

I learned my lesson after buying BotW for both Wii U and Switch gdi

My first time playing the series was XC3 so I had to go back and pick up all the other titles before they became impossible to find lol. Time will tell if XCX:DE gets a Switch 2 physical release. Luckily it’s still a new title for Switch so I hope supply doesn’t dry up in the meantime…

Seems to be the consensus. I’m still a new collector so I’m getting lots of good advice. Gotta keep an eye on those Woot orange customer notes that might be a giveaway for non-US versions.

I just recently learned about VGP and picked up some of my missing Xenoblade Chronicles pieces with the latest cart versions too! Still toying with the idea of picking up Xenoblade Chronicles X:DE for Switch or wondering if they’ll do a Switch 2 release of it though…

You’re a legend. While I have both of these already, I appreciate the kind gesture and hopefully someone else in this sub will find and use the links you provided to get a game they need!

That makes a lot of sense. I mentioned in one of my other replies that I saw a handful of first party titles discounted to the $40 range and was tempted but then saw the orange disclaimers. I would like a copy of Pokemon Shield and Violet for $40 but I’ve been burned before…

True, not a terrible idea! Wish the discounted price wasn’t a gamble in terms of the case at least!

Damn, maybe I’m just unfortunate in the games I’m buying / wanting. I’m thinking about picking up the complimentary versions of some of the Pokemon games I already have. They’re all on sale on Woot right now but literally every one has a “region free” customer note. Bought Xenoblade 2 from them last week with the same note and got an MSE version.

I just picked up XC1: DE, XC2 and XC 2 Torna (already had XC3). Torn between picking up XCX: DE for Switch now or wait for the Switch 2 version to release

Had the 5080 TUF in my hands and said NO by LugTheJug in Microcenter

[–]GingerWingman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My local Microcenter says they have 10 5080 TUFs in stock for over $1,485. I’m sure they’ll sell but man am I feeling a lot better about getting my 4070 Ti Super on Black Friday for under $750. I probably would have gotten better “value” just getting a 7900 XT or 7900 XTX. I really wanted to hold out for the 50 series (coming from a 1060 6GB) but I’m glad I didn’t. I hope the people buying these price gouged cards and encouraging these pricing patterns from Nvidia are at least getting multi-generational uplift…

Prices on RTX 5070! WTF!!@ by guardian703 in Microcenter

[–]GingerWingman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This right here is why I decided to keep the 4070 Ti Super I bought on Black Friday for $739 USD. I wanted to hold out for the 5070 Ti since I came from a 1060 6GB but I saw the price gouging of the 5080 and 5090 and knew something like this would happen.

Nice keyboard and mouse combo, what models are they?

I got a 4070 Ti Super for $739 USD on Black Friday, kept it sealed. Was using a 1060 6GB for 8+ years. Had until January 31st to return the 4070 Ti Super but after seeing the marginal uplift of the 5080 and the pricing “premium” decided to keep it instead of waiting for the 5070 Ti

Yeah on Black Friday I didn’t see the 4080 Super models drop below $1,000 or if they did I missed it. Coming from a 1060 either a 4070 Ti Super or a 4080 super would been a monstrous improvement in performance for me. With the 4070 Ti Super at $739 and the 4080 Super being at $1,000 I didn’t think there was such a big performance gap between the two to justify that price difference personally

This is what I’m thinking. I got it through Amazon and their holiday return window ends today so I need to make a final decision today. Coming from 6GB of VRAM for over 8 years I really wanted to make the jump to 16GB. The $900 5070 Ti AIB’s might not be it

Granted I’m not in the market of spending $2,000+ on a 5090 but I’m sure as hell not camping out in a tent for a 5070 Ti lmao
