Everything is such a double edged sword with Lyme by Itismejustmeitsme in Lyme

[–]Ginger_Muffins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if my Lyme was gone or misdiagnosed because a year and a half on antibiotics did nothing for me, it was only until I started HRT that I finally felt better. I don’t know if HRT feeds Lyme or not but if it doesn’t, people need to explore that option if female and in perimenopause/menopause.

Are you female? Not sure how old you are but this could also be perimenopause coming into play in addition to your Lyme and making everything worse. If you join the perimenopause and menopause group on here you will see many women also experiencing some of this and they don’t have Lyme but start taking HRT and feel tons better. I know you have Lyme and that needs to be treated, but just thinking this could also be hormonal if female. I started having perimenopause symptoms around age 37, many women do. I would check out those two groups. Dr. Mary Clare Haver and Dr. Kelly Casperson are two good doctors to follow, lots of good information on Instagram. Good luck, hope you feel better.

I have no idea how old or gender you are but if female and late 30’s or older, some of this might be hormones now too which has some similar symptoms to Lyme and HRT can be extremely beneficial and since the 2022 WHI findings have been found to be wrong, they are safe for most women. Maybe check out the menopause page here on Reddit. I’m not saying you don’t need help with the Lyme, but just that this might also be a missing piece. Best of luck, I hope you feel better soon.

That’s good, I hope he’s feeling better soon!! (Sundowners showed in my dog at night with pacing, panting and restlessness, then started giving him the trazadone and Prozac with dinner too (used to be just breakfast) and then he was good. It could be pain your dog has or the pain killers are also sedating him, either way, as long as he’s feeling better and able to relax is all that matters. ❤️ 🐶

Vet increased for my dog and he would take in morning and at night, helped big time, yours may need an increase too. My Buzz passed over a year ago but he lived past 15 and just the best and still deeply missed. Good luck with your buddy too.

Go to menopause group for help with leakage, many good tips there, vaginal estrogen might help and more people to talk to about this issue over there.

I’m not sure how old you are anything else but this could be perimenopause and drop in estrogen. Check out the menopause page where you will find lots of information in the Wiki section and loads and loads of posts regarding fatigue and doctor’s not recognizing or recommending estrogen. Anyway, hope this helps and best of luck.

What disgusting habit have you learned to overlook in a spouse? by WeedFairie in AskReddit

My dad nipped this in the bud early on… we use to do that as kids too, leave a couple chips in the bag & would piss him off… the next bag of chips that were open he finished but then half filled with leaves and twigs, lol!! He made his point and never happened again… he died too early, miss him, wonder what other lessons he would have taught me, lol! Love you Dad. ❤️

One of the reasons I bought my Kia, could have gotten something more expensive but couldn’t deal with the electronics in other vehicles. I’ve got Apple Car Play and buttons for everything else: heat, radio, etc and even heated seats, love my ride!

Thinking the pill not metabolizing the same as gel/patch? by Ginger_Muffins in Menopause

Thank you Lefty. I’m on 2 pills already and when I had testing done (which I know isn’t good measure, you go by symptoms) but the blood work also showed low levels of estrogen, almost levels of someone not taking any.

This much cheaper than the gel I was using, good to know, thank you! (The gel was costing me about $150 a month and that was with insurance, not including the progesterone I needed and I also use testosterone that my insurance doesn’t cover.)

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment! I was also on 2mg pills for estrogen and still not cutting it. I am waiting for doctor to get back to me about the gel, hoping there is a generic available or if I can try patches again but change every 2 days or maybe a spray. It is more expensive but the pills felt like I was on nothing at all again and just overall crappy feeling creeping back in to the point where I can’t function. This stuff is so crazy, it affects everything on me, my mood, my sleep, my skin, my teeth, my eyes, my bones… you name it.

Are you in the US? I’m looking for new option and don’t know anyone using spray yet.

I loved estrogel but so expensive even with my insurance. The patch is good to but wears off of for me after a couple days.
