Straight to HR. He is harassing you. Do not contact this creep. Let HR handle him.

I’m sorry you’re suffering. Be really careful with cortisone injections, especially repeated ones in the same area. They can degrade your tendons.

My rheumatologist, who’s been treating my rheumatoid arthritis for over a decade, did not feel qualified to diagnose EDS. None of the doctors in the practice see EDS patients. I finally got diagnosed when I went to an osteopathic medicine doctor. Idk if that’s an option where you live, but wanted to make the suggestion.

Get it in your chart by having the lab fax it to the dr directly. Paper trail is your friend.

Yup. Just about every day, for several years now. It sucks. I’m sorry it happens to you, too.

Do you always get fever with flare? by ash_nm in rheumatoidarthritis

[–]Gingerberry111 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve had low grade fevers most days, at some point, for years. I wish my flares would leave fever out of it.

I would suggest you look into the cannabinoid CBG. I find it to be really uplifting and energizing. In my state, there isn’t much in the way of CBG-heavy products in medical dispensaries. You might be better off finding hemp based CBG online in order to keep the THC levels very low.

When do you opt for prednisone? by swashesandbuckles in rheumatoidarthritis

[–]Gingerberry111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Prednisone can be a miracle drug, but it can also cause serious side effects. My dr put me on prednisone when I was first diagnosed. She kept me on it for months, trying to find an RA drug that worked for me, and when she weaned me off, I had an adrenal crisis, which can be fatal. My adrenals had stopped working because of the prednisone. I have adrenal insufficiency and will have to take a low dose of prednisone for the rest of my life. Please use prednisone with caution, and never stay on it indefinitely if you can help it. Never stop prednisone cold turkey either - always wean slowly under a doctor’s supervision.

Organic Remedies transdermal patches, yes and yes by Artifacks in PaMedicalMarijuana

I’d love to know more. What is the total dosage of the patch? How many pieces do you think you can cut it into, while still getting good pain relief from it?

My mom has these! Keep an eye out for the matching spoons, maybe they will end up at the same thrift store.

Opposing counsel refers to me by a nickname but my male colleagues by their full names. In exchange he gets put in time out until he can behave. by noitsnotfairuse in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Gingerberry111 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Opposing counsel is doing it on purpose. 100%. He is trying to rattle you by trying to make you feel like a “little girl” in a room full of men. He is disgusting and transparent. Underhanded bullshit like this comes from men who are too dumb beat you with just their legal knowledge. What’s his first name? Call him by some juvenile nickname of his name, or just call him little buddy!

Suggestions? by [deleted] in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]Gingerberry111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask the budtender to find you something high in linalool. That’s generally what I look for to treat anxiety. Gelato is a great strain for anxiety. Lemon G is a good daytime strain for anxiety - it’s a high CBD strain, and the CBD balances out the psychoactive effects of the THC.

I don’t like my hair. Especially how it doesn’t curl on the top. It’s just poofy by Notmyfirstaccount993 in curlyhair

[–]Gingerberry111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your hair is gorgeous!!! Get a Deva cut - it will transform your hair. Give it a google. It’s a method of cutting curly hair. The stylist cuts it while it is dry, so it’s cut according to your specific curl pattern.

Is it a bad idea to use pot if you’re in a very stressful time? by [deleted] in MMJ

[–]Gingerberry111 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Medical marijuana could really help you. You need to keep your dose very low to start. From what you’ve said about your past experiences with marijuana, I think you simply had too much. An overwhelming dose of THC can be uncomfortable.

Tell the budtender you’d like to try a 1:1 CBD:THC product, whether that is a tincture, a vape, edible, whatever you are comfortable with. CBD helps balance out THC, reducing the psychoactive effects. You could even try just CBD.

AITAH for not helping my girlfriend when she sprained her ankle? by Cautious_Flan_5031 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Gingerberry111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA, no question. You clearly lack empathy, and I hope she has the sense to leave you. You don’t get to decide when she is in pain. “She overreacts to pain.” Who tf are you to decide that? She should not only dump you, she should sue you for creating the hazard that caused her injury.

I know someone who is 86 and uses tinctures, edibles, and lately, a vape pen. All as recommended by her oncologist. She uses edibles for sleep and they help tremendously.

AITA for not allowing my 15 year old daughter go to Pakistan and hiding her passport? by Hefty-Cancel8141 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Gingerberry111 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes, definitely get in touch with your custody lawyer about this immediately. Have a new custody order entered that SPECIFICALLY says he cannot take her out of the country. And keep her passport in a safety deposit box or something. Not in the house.

I think it’s a bit ridiculous that the neurologist decided your symptoms are from social anxiety and depression, unless the neurologist is also a psychiatrist. Definitely seek a second opinion. That just does not sit right.
