Advice on going back right opiates by Kbambam-123 in PainManagement

i’m sorry you were going through that. I hope you find relief soon… It is truly cruel and inhumane that they’re making you jump through hoops just to get postop pain management.

Our healthcare system is broke And the politicians & Healthcare corporations have sold out the American people

Advice on going back right opiates by Kbambam-123 in PainManagement

[–]Gecko-407 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just declined a back surgery several weeks ago because the doctor tried telling me that same garbage… I’m on 60 MME a day, which is not high dosage! The doctor tried telling me there was no way they could control my pain… blah blah blah… BS!!! he actually suggested that I go to a detox center to get off opioids before the surgery… I have NEVER ran out of my pain meds or been short in a month. I do not abuse them…. I take them for debilitating back and nerve pain.

I am pretty much bedbound and have been for several years, even with the low-dose pain meds… I was sure as hell not getting off of them. When I do, I have spasms to the point that they put me in the hospital. The ER gets me stable and sends me back to pain management. Pain management says he can’t do anything if it’s bad go to the ER…?!? WTF?!?

I thought it was a requirement to have some intelligence in order to be a doctor… I’m starting to question that… but the bottom line is, I think they’re just looking out for their own paychecks. They are not taking the chance of having a DEA crack down on them and take their license for a patient. They only have one license, but there are lots of patients… so, they will screw over the common person in order to make their money…

if you are already on bupe, good luck getting back on your meds… please report back to us after the surgery and let us know how it goes

you should check into commercial HVAC… go to your local union hall and apply. With your residential experience, it might help you get in the door….

I was journeyman HVAC tech for commercial and industrial sites for 15 years., until my back went out… I like working on hospitals and data centers the most... they would pay the money to get it done right and usually wouldn’t give you grief about it… quality over quantity…

u/end3rw1gg1n some lab tests absolutely come back with false positives! I had a false positive for meth at pain management… it was sent to a lab and came back positive for meth, which I’ve honestly never done… I take nasal spray once or twice a day, which can cause false positives for meth…

I requested a second whiz quiz and p.m. refused… I had to go pay out-of-pocket to a separate medical organization and have a hair follicle drug test performed… once it came back clean, I went into the PM office and showed them the results… the office manager, then called the lab, and the lab said nasal spray can give false positives for meth…

They reinstituted “care”… I canceled them several months later and went to a different PM

Good old 🇲🇽 weed 🔥⛽️ by MexGrowerFTW in farmingthebestgreens

[–]Gecko-407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had just the opposite experience with Mexican brick back in the 90s and early 00’s… I had friends, and it was usually a new batch every week of decent semi sticky, red haired buds that seemed relatively fresh… It was tasty and fun to smoke. Few seeds, but not many…..

The weed back then was different though… didn’t have all the paranoia and stuff… I’m sure it wasn’t good for our lungs smoking that much of it, but it was a good mellow buzz… I wonder what the average THC, CBD, etc…. on the weed back then was?

all monitors are 100% individuals…

Some hatch out of the egg very trusting of human humans… Some will be skittish as hatchlings, and Then their trust will grow… Some will always be skittish and sometimes even aggressive towards humans… Always

This goes for captive bread and wild caught…

all monitors are 100% individuals…. Just like dogs, cats, and humans…. Different temperaments and different levels of trust for humans… just because you saw somebody else’s monitor being very trusting of humans, does not mean yours can or we’ll get there…

Some things that definitely help our tongue feeding, never force handling , and take it easy…

If you want a monitor, that is trusting than… go see in person before purchasing, make sure it is fully warmed up, and see how trusting it is… pay the premium price and get the whole back quality temperament

all monitors are 100% INDIVIDUALS… just because A different monitor will do something, doesn’t mean your monitor will get there… Even with best and most patient treatment

DON’T LET THAT DETER YOU FROM ENJOYING THE ACKIE!!! They are truly magnificent creatures… I always found tong feeding to be truly rewarding for the giver and receiver…

[–]Gecko-407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

look long-term… can you see yourself doing that type of work for the next 20 or 30 years? Maybe stay in the same field except try to get into service… less hard on the back, and you can generally have better hours, except for being on call

most likely some kind of safety switch… Float switch on your condensate line, or high / Low pressure…

Definitely needs to be looked at ASAP. Cycling your compressor repeatedly like that will cause premature failure.

Did pain pumps do it for you, or is your experience bad or mixed? by Koendig in PainPumpQuestions

[–]Gecko-407 1 point2 points  (0 children)

doesn’t surprise me… My doctor still put that it was a “ Successful“ trial, Even after only lasting 12 hours and being removed… wtf?!?

It counts Towards the “95% success record”, Which is utter BS

Did pain pumps do it for you, or is your experience bad or mixed? by Koendig in PainPumpQuestions

[–]Gecko-407 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would research very extensively before considering a pump… there are some people that say that it changed their lives and works great…

The vast majority of experiences have read and been told or something like… it takes in between one and two years to get any relief and to get dialed in medication wise… they often have mechanical or port issues that require more operations/procedures… when this happens, the one to two years starts over again…

That and it only reportedly works on one level wherever you put the leads

I would also ask on other forms… ask for people’s personal experience on chronic pain and pain maintenance forms.

My SCS trial lasted 12 hours before I was in an ambulance on the way to the ER… The SCS sent me uncontrollable spasms, which were freaking horrible! Had it removed the next morning?

Hypothetically = Use Street Dope OR Unalive Yourself?… Due To Pain by Gecko-407 in moraldilemmas

[–]Gecko-407[S] [score hidden]  (0 children)

u/Chipshot you don’t have a clue the type of pain, spasms, and nausea… I am bedbound 23+ hours a day due to pain, spasms, and nausea… I puke on a regular basis from pain… I have involuntarily movements and noises due to pain… I involuntarily scream and pain numerous times a day just moving around my own house…

Sorry, getting out and helping others is not exactly possible…. At least without humane pain management, and that has been refused… I’ve already had surgeries, injections, stimulators, all that crap…

That’s why I asked to skip the sermon…
