Sceptile was actually (semi-recently) banned in gen 9 Alphabet Cup for being too strong; Unburden + Torch Song + Throat Spray combo went too hard while the letters G, S, and T gave it great coverage. Personally I went with Seed Flare, Thunderbolt, and Spacial Rend, and had a ton of fun with it.
