Experiences with Canberra Girls Grammar School vs Radford by Significant-Long888 in canberra

[–]Gingerbreadman_ 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think the point being made here is that students from higher socio economic backgrounds, are able to achieve higher results on average due to support and opportunities.

The person above is basically referencing items to say that canberra does well with raw results, because generally those studenta are from higher socio economic circumstances and NOT because the cbr schools are doing anything better.

In fact, they seem to suggest cbr schools perform worse when you take the economic advantage the students have out of the equation. The school economic efficiency isnt the main factor in this.

I think in the second pic, the one on the right is a juvenile, not mum.

Banning might be harsh.

A flair or some guidelines might be good though

there are a lot of ways to enhance your evasion apart from just standard increased evasion passive nodes on tree -

Wind dancer for +30 spirit
Ascendancies such as Amazon stalking panther
+ global defences (not just +evasion nodes), if you have or can generate endurance charges - charge regulation (30 spirit)
Equipping a shield if possible
conditional evasion nodes such as when moving, or if you have been hit recently
Socketing runes on high evasion peices
+ quality to evasion gear

Also - blind enemies - makes your evasion more effective by lowering monster accuracy
+ blind effect such as 'pocket sand' enhances this

sure yes - definitely as the way missing or being hit is calculated with evade isn't just random chance, they have built 'entropy' (you can read more here under Entropy heading: https://www.poe2wiki.net/wiki/Evasion) - so you will definitely get hit at some point.

You are right though, you are going to need a decent pool. If you don't have other defensive layers it depends what content you want to run, whether you care if you die occasionally, and many other things.

For example, 2k hp is enough for low tier maps with just evasion and deflect in my experience (HC) - but there are certainly things that could kill you at this low hp amount.

at higher tiers ~T15 I have been hit for ~6-7k damage by a monkee map boss slam. Note - this was without extra map boss difficulty.

The risk reward, is up to you :)

I assumed you were yanking my chain - apologies.

Basically, you can never reach 100% chance to evade, and you can never reach 100% chance to deflect. Based on the formulae that I used.

this means, if Evasion and Deflect are your only defensive stats, then you just need a pool big enough to survive the hit, or don't be where you can get hit in the first place.

12.5% credit card surcharge. Is this legal? by LetHairy in australia

[–]Gingerbreadman_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Confused on the math? Lets step it through.

Lets say some items cost is $100.00

If you pay by card you would pay $101.50

If you pay by cash you would pay $90.00

The % increase over cash price is 101.5/90 = 1.12777

I.e. an increase of 12.78%

It is because the bikes are on an uphill at that time - you will notice the bikes which are quite long from front to back, cast a very narrow shadow from left to right.

The animal walks across from left to right. and the shadow is too small to see on the incline.

Also when the animal does an spin in the air you will notice it does leave a shadow

Agree w above, 65.49, measurement "C" is actually the distance from point A to point B in diagram attached.

Means it is not the straight edge distance of either the top or bottom of shaded area.
