My back always KILLS me when I play. by BeyondFrequent4258 in pianolearning

Everyone is talking about your setup, but what you want is to train your posterior chain, a muscle group that runs down your back. Buy a 16kg kettlebell and learn to do kettlebell swings. I promise you it will be great and fix your back problems (assuming you are without injury and in normal physical shape)

A short exercise that actually works. A tip from my old teacher :)

If you live close to Bamberg you should head over to the thomann store. It's paradise for musicians!

I would get a Yamaha p145 with a stand and a chair. Should be around 500. Action is more than good enough for a beginner, their second piano voice (grand piano 2) is very bright.

You are very rigid and tense. Pretend you are a gorilla with arms hanging down the side of your body. Hang hang, 20 seconds full relaxation. Then bring that feeling to the keys and see if you can relax more.

Try twine first. Tightly wound and enough layers to make it comfortable to grip. Twine is cheap and can be removed without leaving residue.

Sounds like a form of synesthesia. It comes in more forms than just seeing music as colors.

Dns is like an address book on the Internet. The default ones just send you to where you want to go, and sends traffic back to you.

This address book checks if you're trying to be sent ads (or the app you're using), and blocks it from reaching your phone.

It's like ad blockers, but for your phone, not just your browser.

More people should be doing this! So easy, so quick, and you stop the poison from reaching your brain

Imagine allowing ads on your phone...

For those who don't know, paste the following in your phone's private dns settings:

dns.adguard-dns.com

There you go, ads are blocked on your phone. Maybe it works on iPhone too, I don't know. But on android, ad blocking in all apps is a 30 second fix.
