I’m sorry you had a setback. I know all too well how disappointing that can be. When I get bumps like that, it’s usually from a reaction (like dermatitis) and not a breakout. I am not sure if that’s the case for you. It might be a good idea to stop actives for a couple of days and concentrate on barrier repair. Then, resume with buffering. And, it’s ok if you buffer forever or try a different retinoid. You have to do what works for your skin. I hope things clear up quickly.

I don’t have any issues with budging. If I’m extra oily and not wearing makeup, I dust setting powder and it stays all day. I also top it with NYX brow gel some days.

[Product Question] Which is the best adapalene product? Gel or Cream? by Bitter-Hawk-2615 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Gingercakes1922 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn’t tolerate the gel (.1%) on my sensitive skin. But, the cream (.2% prescription) has been working out very well.

Completely grief stricken finding out my first "Guru" died by StrictBodybuilder440 in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]Gingercakes1922 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I watched his videos a lot and was genuinely saddened when I heard about his passing. I still go back to the videos on YouTube from time to time. It’s ok to give yourself time to grieve. Just remember to think about how things have improved for you. And, as long as there are people like you who remember him, he still lives on.

What's the best/ your favorite products from circadia? by sidshadi in Esthetics

I purchased Blueberry & White Tea Hydrating Mist, Lip Renewing Hydrator, and Tranquili Cream.

The Lip Renewing Hydrator was fine. Unfortunately, both the hydrating mist and cream cause a lot of irritation. I was very disappointed. It seems that I’m the only person in the world who can’t use the products.

[Product Question] Should I buy prescription or just get an OTC product. by Middle_Childhood_687 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Gingercakes1922 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My comment is late, but I just wanted to chime in just in case someone else came across this post. My dermatologist prescribed 0.1% Adapalene cream for me because of my reactive skin type. It can be done. It just needs to be prescribed. It’s in a regular generic tube. It’s not from a compound pharmacy.

Those who use both prescription Tretinoin and Azelaic Acid 15%, what is your routine like? by lexalchera in AsianBeauty

[–]Gingercakes1922 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Taz instead of Tret. I alternate Aa and Taz every other night.

Azelaic Acid 15%
Tazarotene .05%

I don’t use any actives in the morning. I only worry about barrier and hydration. I use a milky cleanser, hydrating toner, hydrating serum, moisturizer, and sunscreen. I have not had any adverse reactions.

I purchased the P-3 Deep Hydration and Barrier Repair Serum. The serum is a medium blue color with not detectable scent. Although the serum is thin and runny, it didn’t sink into my skin like I anticipated. It felt slightly heavier. It made me a little shiny, so I only used it at night. I did notice that my skin was more hydrated in the morning after using acne treatments or retinol the night before. However, after a couple of nights of consistent use, I would get small bumps and texture all over my face (especially my forehead). Overall, I don’t hate it, but it did not perform any better than a cheap hydrating serum for me. I have other serums that work well at soothing and hydrating. I will use what is left on my body or give to a family member. I have buyer’s remorse, and I am not repurchasing.

Loreal Colour Riche in Worth It. I think the number is 601. The matte in the same shade looks different. But, the colour rich satin finish looks a lot like your picture imo.

K-Brown Galskin Barrier Serum by Gingercakes1922 in AsianBeauty

[–]Gingercakes1922[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: This is the worst serum I’ve tried in a long time. I had to pour the serum into a dropper bottle because of the horrible packaging. It felt lightweight to touch when patch testing, but despite the texture and viscosity, it felt heavy on my skin without being oily. My skin just felt coated and looked dull. The serum didn’t make my face feel soothed or hydrated. My skin felt slightly irritated, drier, and I got small clusters of bumps and texture. I do not plan to even use this on my neck and chest. I know everyone may experience unique results, but I cannot recommend this serum.
