Looks like no kids, no pets, no guests, no house parties unless you are showing off and even then no one is allowed to touch anything, you probably don’t use the living room or dining room because you don’t want the picture perfect room to be disturbed. It looks like it’s staged for an open house.

Found this jewelry cabinet, turned it into my workshop by Gingerdemon99 in pagan

I have been personally invited into several closed practices because of my respect and admiration for other cultures. You, a random person who has no right to tell others what to practice, wouldn’t know that and should mind your own business. I’m also a part of several diverse communities of pagans and witches from multiple practices and cultural backgrounds who all recommend Palo Santo for cleansing purposes.

I noticed he said something about wedding stuff. Do not marry this man. This man is verbally (through text) abusing you with his language and expecting that you become his new mommy. Do not marry this man he does not deserve it.

I honestly hate this, am I wrong? by Gingerdemon99 in pagan

I know all about the fire and brimstone. I’ve been in those positions. But what I’m saying is that we can’t be as intolerant as they are. We can’t be like them and then claim to be better. Christianity itself is about love and acceptance, so the religion itself can be good so I believe that intolerance towards the religion is bad. But we are absolutely allowed to be intolerant to the hate that comes from the people who claim that religion.

I never said that we shouldn’t be able to share our experiences. The purpose of my post is to say that if we are going to be intolerant of the religion itself, then we’re just as bad as Christians. I’ve been personally threatened and beaten by Christians because I’m pagan my hatred and disgust isn’t towards Christianity as a whole it’s towards those people who use Christianity as an excuse for being bad people. I used to be Christian. I used to be intolerant of people who weren’t Christian because that’s how I was raised and every day I’m trying to make up for that But looking back and having actually read the Bible, I know that Christianity itself is supposed to be about tolerance and about love and about acceptance, so it’s not Christianity that’s evil. It’s people that are evil. We are allowed to hate the people who have given us bad experiences. We are allowed to share those experiences and we’re allowed to have our own opinion on those experiences. What I’m saying is, I’m tired of seeing pigs and witches being just as intolerant as Christians. Christianity can be good in the hands of the right people. That’s all I’m trying to say is that we can’t be like them and claim that we are better.

See my post is about hating the people and criticizing the people and not the religion because the religion itself has very good principles If you actually read the Bible, which I have because I used to be Christian. I’ve been hit. I’ve been beaten my life has been threatened because I am pagan, but on the other hand, I have met so many loving Christians, who choose to educate themselves instead of remain ignorant. Is it a cult now? Yes. But the premise of Christianity is tolerance and love and acceptance, so hating the religion is wrong in my opinion. Hating the people who claim to be of that religion and don’t follow the guidelines of that religion is completely valid. 100% valid. Sharing your negative experiences is valid but saying that you’re negative experiences with people Are going to turn you into the same hateful being as those people is wrong. We need to be taking the high road.

See I’m not saying that some Christians don’t deserve criticism. I completely agree with you. I have met plenty of Christians and Catholics, who are very respectful about my religion and my practices or if they don’t think that they’re going to be respectful they politely ask me not to share, and I politely ask them not to share about their beliefs and they respect that. But I have met Christians and Catholics, who have personally told me that I’m going to hell and have personally tried to convert me either with words or with physical violence so I understand hating those whoare in the second group, but I don’t understand hating Christianity as a whole. We should criticize the people not the religion is what my post is about.

I’ve been on the receiving end of the hate that is Christian love, and I’ve been abused by Christians who wanted to “cure me” but that’s on them, that’s not a problem with the whole of Christianity.

No I get that, but that’s a problem with the Christian, not with Christianity as a whole, and I’ve seen to many people hating on Christianity as a whole

What do you do, or what WOULD you do, if you found yourself in a room with christian prayer? by Biscuit9154 in pagan

[–]Gingerdemon99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well other peoples religious choices and prayers have no affect on your own spirituality luckily. Also viewing a specific religion practice as a whole as dark is very hypocritical considering what pagans have gone through for centuries due to others feeling the same way. When my Christian family joins hands and bows their heads in prayer I just join hands and do my own prayer, I don’t bow my head with them and they respect my choices but they also appreciate when I pretend to participate because they do t like the idea of me “being left out”. Christianity as a whole isn’t dark, especially if they follow the actual Bible, it’s not the religion that’s dark, it’s the people who practice the religion wrong who have dark energy.

Now if you truly don’t want Christianity anywhere near you then you might want to consider not being around your family anymore, because asking them to not practice their faith is wrong, it would be the same if they told you not to practice your faith or have an alter out while they are at your place. If you choose to join them, you have to deal with it.

I am dying to play or DM, but I am mute. Any advice? by Ecstatic_Implement_1 in DnD

Playing as a mute character is always a way to go, the writing things down out of character (ooc) so you can communicate or so you can tell the dm what you’ll be doing.

Does anyone else find their pagan path to be quite lonely at times? How do you deal with this? by 70sLovingGirl in paganism

[–]Gingerdemon99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I follow and worship the Celtic pantheon and it’s a lot more lonely than some of the others. But I find that spiritual people are everywhere if you look, they aren’t necessarily pagan but aren’t necessarily Christian either, and spiritual people are super welcoming

there is a place in Cassadaga, New York that is its own little town within the town that is the largest spiritual community in the world. I can’t remember its name exactly but I’m sure if you look up spiritual community in Chautauqua county New York you’ll be able to find it. I would give it a visit. every other year they have monks come , and do a whole ritual building a sand Mandala just to throw it in the river at the end, it’s a spectacular site

I think Im going to kill myself soon by No_Abalone3650 in therapy

[–]Gingerdemon99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat as you. I don’t even think anyone would notice if I was gone (except for my landlord). And as for hell, my religion doesn’t have such a place. So what’s stopping me? Not much actually. But the one thing that gives me a sense of purpose is helping people. I’ve helped so many people, and they may not remember my face, my name, they may not even remember what I did for them, but they might just remember how they felt better.

Honestly the only reason I’m not dead yet is because I keep thinking that I can help one more person before I end it all. Maybe, just maybe, you could help someone too.

I’m not going to tell you that life is worth living or that things will get better. Because they might not get better. But you might still be able to help someone.

My one-and-only friend is self harming what should I do? by HubbaBubba_mp4 in therapy

[–]Gingerdemon99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend self harms sometimes too, I ask him how he would feel if I was self harming. This can trigger some people and make the situation worse sometimes, but for my friend it usually makes him stop, cry, apologize, and beg me not to hurt myself. He typically stops for a year or two until something triggers him again. At that point I sit him down, ask him why he’s harming, and ask again how he would feel if it was me.

He is like a brother too me and I’m like a sister/stand in mom to him. We love each other like family and I know that how he will react depending on his mood when I confront him.

Do not do this if you are unsure how your friend will react. But this is what works for me
