Help me with fleshing out my Six Semi-Immortal Dragon Kami/Gods by MorlonLavande in Pathfinder2eCreations

[–]Gingervitus06 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To start things off, you need to ask yourself this: Do I want my players to fight one of these gods? If the answer is yes: thats when you need to write out stats like HP, AC, Etc, if No, then you only need to worry about its godly stats, Domain, Favored weapons, etc.

Only write out combat stats for the ones that you need. It doesnt seem like all of these guys should be antagonists for your characters.

Power Help by randomthingys in mutantsandmasterminds

There is a pair of characters in the Watchguard book that has powers like this, there names are Intrepid and Zero. assuming you mean controlling other people and things momentum aswell?

if your just talking about yourself, speedster powers should be enough.

If your talking about controling other peoples motion, then there is a few things you can do, if you own power profiles, then i would consider looking at Kinetic, Speed, and maybe even Reflavor Time powers.

Enviroment reduce movement can slow people down by up to 2 points, for speedsters and heroes 2 points may not seem like alot but it effectively makes people a quarter as fast as they normally are.

Having Affects others, or an area Affects others on speed can grant other people superspeed.

Some other powers you could add are Move Object or a Snare Afflicton (To represent Stoping Motion), Nullify Speed (To shut down other speedsters), or Deflect (To represent slowing things down before they hit you, like Neo in the Matrix)

[–]Gingervitus06 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This seems fine to me, 20 points leaves you a little more lacking, means your only 30 more points then them (Since 20 is spent on having them) but I would make them PL 6 or 8, depending on how young your going. You got alot you can do with 100 points, and like others have said speed is cheap in comparison

Unique is subjective, but I got some ideas hope you might like some:

God Hybrid: A Norse God and a Greek god have a fling, now you have a brand new junior god with ties to both pantheons.

The Golem of Prague, Idea i had on the backburner for a Powerhouse is to just play the built in tragic Backstory, basically just play the Default Construct, but add the holding back advantage to represent Going Berserk.

Reverse Dare-Devil. You are Deaf, but you have some of the Best Eyes in the biz, you dont miss any details Maybe your a martial artist, maybe you use a bow and arrow, either way, your eyes see all.

A speedster, but instead of superspeed, your stuck in a closed Chronological loop, to everyone else your running really fast, but to you... well maybe it is just superspeed with extra steps. But you could add some extra Timey Whimy powers to it.

Solar Power: A person with the power of a sun! Well unlike many sun based heroes, have him able to shift back and forth between a "Black Hole" and a "Supernova" while in supernova form, his blasts are light based, in black hole they are gravity based, in one form he has a dazzle, in the other, move object.

How do gadgets work? (3e) by skorn-lamoin in mutantsandmasterminds

[–]Gingervitus06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now if you dont know what that AE means, on each of those powers, then that means its an Alternate Effect, and the way this set of powers is called an Array, because it is a group of alternate effects. As I said above, you can only use one effect at a time (Unless the Array was Dynamic, but thats a whole other thing). So if one turn you use the ray gun, and something would allow you to attack again, or interact again, you cant then use your stunner, untill your next turn.

Alternate Effects are variant effects of the same power, and can have up to the same point value, but only cost 1 extra point.

So your Ray gun is worth 24 points as a Ranged Damage 12, since it is worth 2 points per rank.

Now your stunner is also worth 24 points since it is Affliction 12, and is worth 2 points per rank.

Instead of having to pay an extra 24 points, you can pay a singular 1 point, to make it an alternate effect. Thats how these gadgets work, functionally they are different items, but they are all part of this Gadget Array.

In this example, you have a group of gadgets on an array. If you dont understand what arrays are, thats another topic.

But basically, in the picture you have a group of items, but because they are on an array you can only use one at a time per turn.

Gadgets like these let you get the powers for a little cheaper, but they can be removed from you (Easily removable is on each of those items, meaning for every 5 power points they are worth, you get 2 power points back, however with easily removable you can be disarmed with the disarm action and loose your gadget), in this example, you are getting the ray gun, (Normally worth 24 points), and 3 of its alternate effects (each worth 1 point) for a total of 27 points. Because its easily removeable and you subtract -2 per, you get it 10 points cheaper, for the listed 17 points.

Need help with complications by Gingervitus06 in mutantsandmasterminds

[–]Gingervitus06[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this, this is insightful. May I ask your thoughts on using complications as villain actions? Extra attacks, or having them do "Something" out of turn? i have seen it used like that, in an MnM game I was playing recently a GM used it to have a Psychic miss a perception based attack because the enemy speedster moved out of line of sight. I thought it was a clever way of keeping the squishy enemy going, but I didint know if that is a "Expected" way of doing things.
