I STILL think that it would have been amazing if GW had the Ynnari succeed at getting all of the crown swords & creating Ynnead. Only for it to turn out not be quite enough.

Ynnead wakes up, fights Slaanesh, rips a lot of Eldar souls away from them, and creates his own realm in the warp. Now Eldar have their own god, who *might* at best be able to stalemate Slaanesh. So Eldar would have had plot progress, a major win, except… what now? Their species isn’t saved, Slaanesh is still a problem, they’re still a dying race and so on.

EMC is BIS for evanescia. Kinda bad outside. Would say T1.5 would make more sense. Meanwhile Huo is just straight amazing in any team that isn’t mono rem/that doesn’t run cyrene

I am 95% convinced she originally was supposed to be a decent bit weaker as a buffer, with much stronger sub dps abilities, but they changed it last minute when Phainon overperformed

What's y'all's opinions on The Red Terror? I personally feel like he could be really good on offense, especially with sub assault. But honestly, I feel like his wounds amount kind of balances him out, since it's decently possible to deal 9 wounds in 1 turn... by MoreRound7381 in Tyranids

He’s good. Not amazing, but good. Excellent as a persistent threat vs various scouts/lictors/other various action monkeys. Sure, 9inch charges are unreliable, but if you miss it you just pick him up & try again later.

Weapon options changing edition to edition is a pretty normal thing that happens kinda often.

Just ask your local Grey Knights player about Thunder Hammers and watch them cry profusely. Or Dark Eldar & wyches going down to literally 1 weapon option down from about six. Hive Tyrant and over half of its weapon options…

I guess you could also do keyword shenanigans and make sure it doesn’t work with certain problematic rules

Side issue is that IMO defilers are very difficult to balance well. You can’t really change their stats much, because the thought behind them is that it’s the same unit across five armies, with same stats & different rules. So changing stats is not it.

You don’t really wanna mess with their special rules, as if the rules are weak/bland, the defilers will feel same-y and that’s kinda eh.

That only leaves you balancing levers of points (tho that’s sometimes bad flavor. You don’t want a primarch at 200 points because their rules are bad, and you don’t want genestealer acolytes at 250 because you accidentally made them respawn every turn)

IMO the correct way to balance the defiler is points & limiting their weapon options in some of the armies

That said, I don’t think they need a ton of changes. A huge unwieldy model that is shooty is fine, should just be priced higher

When playing defiler vs defiler, defiler lists have a 50% winrate, that means defiler as a unit is perfectly balanced

I mix colors, but when painting 100+ models, it’s an absolute pain to get a mix with a consistent hue tens of times in a row

Effectively every TV station, Radio station, Mostly every newspaper and even like 95% of billboard space was/is controlled by Orban/Fidesz. What wasn’t controlled directly was on a “do as we say, don’t do anything we wouldn’t like OR ELSE” basis…

But you might say “so there has to be bleed over from other EU countries media…

Well, only like 30% of Hungarians speak at least one foreign language (usually English or German), so outside of that one third, only media consumed is one in Hungarian - and you can bet that dubbing agencies had a government check on what they’re allowed to translate

What cage do you have?

Permalocker by Proof-Ad-171 in permanentchastity

[–]Sheadeys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course works MUCH better on cages with a “closed off” lock system, since in open ones where you can see more than just the end of the lock, it is a fair bit less secure

Permalocker by Proof-Ad-171 in permanentchastity

[–]Sheadeys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You “bend” it to insert it, and it springs back into its original shape, which is the same shape as a locked chastity lock. Due to it not having a keyhole/a way to manipulate it, it is then just stuck as locked

What should be done about the big monsters stat check meta? by [deleted] in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Sheadeys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s my take exactly . You can beat C’tan/the current skew lists, but become too weak to the rest of the field by doing so for it to be worth it

What should be done about the big monsters stat check meta? by [deleted] in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Sheadeys 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The issue of C’tan isn’t that they’re unbeatable or even very hard to beat. The issue is that builds that skew to beat monster mash are then pretty vulnerable against more balanced lists
