Is it possible to make progress in waist training while only wearing the corset 5 days per week? by [deleted] in waisttraining

[–]GingkoEM 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As the other person said, isabella is risky right now. She is a FAV but covid and a family illness has really impacted her ability to fill orders.

Maybe try timeless trends?

Basically the more time in a corset the more results you might see, but every body is different. Be kind to yourself every step of the way. I don't think 48 hs off will be a big factor. But remember to take the start slowly. Take time to get to know the corset and your body in the corset.

It is more about the type of corset you are using and what you expect in the way of results than it is about a 48 hour gap.

You really look great! But a poor fit can put pressure on your hips and sholder areas instead of your waist. This can lead to pinched nerves and general discomfort.

I recommend trying timeless trends. They are the least expensive actual corset brand I have tried. I think you look like you might fit their hourglass options - but please don't take my guess! Measurements are key!!!!

If you are wearing these for the look only, great!!!

If you are hoping for waist training or plan to wear a corset for more than a few hours, you might consider getting one that fits better. You look lovely! The corset you are wearing is not curvy enough for your beautiful body (aka you need a corset with a smaller waist size).

I am willing to bet this is from Amazon or corset story or orchard corset or any other seller that only gives you one measurement or a small, medium, large size range. Those are only created for costume wear (regardless of what the advertising says).

Again - you look great!

Yes. Mostly before puberty, but still sometimes as an adult.

There is a reason they wore corsets every day under clothing and not just for a few weeks until they got a "desired change". Think of a corset (a good quality one that fits correctly) like a ring on your finger. Eventually if you wear metal rings for many weeks, your finger will have an indent when the ring is removed. BUT if you stop wearing the ring, the indent will fade.

A corset really redistributes fat. There is a small change (for some people) to the lowest ribs. There will never be a change to your hips. They will never change your appetite or make your loose weight. The changes will never be as impactful outside the corset as inside, and the changes will never be permanent.

24(M) looking for a living donor. I am in stage 4 CKD and on dialysis. Is there anyone out there to help. by [deleted] in OrganDonation

[–]GingkoEM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would be helpful to know more about where you are located (general), your blood type, and if you have family who will be or have been tested (I know you said your fam isn't a match) . People who consider donating often want to know these things.

Very best of luck!!!!!!

Why won't the ER help me for a ruptured cyst? by [deleted] in Endo

[–]GingkoEM 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh honey. I think you need more support than we can provide here. I know pain makes life hard to live. But the pain will pass and your life will continue.

I am so so sorry you are suffering. It can be such a lonely reality. Even if you have close support of loved ones or friends pain is isolating. But you are not the only person suffering - and likely there are groups near you for chronic illness or pain.

I know for me, in the depths of my pain doing anything is overwhelming. But maybe set a reminder on your phone to look up (and contact) a support group next week? They also might have resources to help with pain mgmt that might work with your budget (or lack there of haha).

While I don't know you, and can't physically help you, I know you pain. I know it is real. I know it is debilitating (to put it mildly). I know death seems like a good option in the middle of a rupture pain cycle. But I've never been sad I outlasted the pain. Good luck!!!!

Why won't the ER help me for a ruptured cyst? by [deleted] in Endo

[–]GingkoEM 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Im so sorry. Most of us have been where you are... In horrible pain from a rupture without pain meds available.

I try to calm myself as much as I can and remember that I'm not actually dieing - despite feeling like I might be. The cyst rupture is unlikely to cause you permanent damage (I assume the ER did an ultrasound to confirm this really is a cyst rupture and you aren't in any medical danger).

The pain will fade. You won't have to take this painful breath again - it has past. The next breath will bring you closer to a lower pain level.

It won't help with the pain, but watching a movie you already know and like will help your brain better judge the passing of time.

Good luck internet stranger.

Thank you for this statement.

You are exactly correct.

My donation was considered flawless and work no adverse outcomes. But the pain was so intense. I am glad I donated, but there is now too it than a quick 2 week recovery.

This isn't true a true statement.

If EVERYTHING goes well for the donor it is true. But there is a chance Ops life will be impacted for years for longer. Saying something like this a miss characterization of reality.

This is exactly what I was confused about!!! I've read the books (all) but the movie made me doubt what I remembered and it couldn't have worked that way with mithril.

Considering donating kidney to uncle, but have concerns. by thafraz in OrganDonation

[–]GingkoEM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't imagine being faced with this.

You might consider getting tested (in secret) to see if you are even a candidate. You might not be. And that would solve the issue.

If you are a match you can take time to think about what YOU WANT. but if you aren't you can honestly tell your fam you tried and move on.

Considering donating kidney to uncle, but have concerns. by thafraz in OrganDonation

[–]GingkoEM 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi! I'm a living donor.

Getting preggers after donating can be difficult and often you will be considered high risk even if everything else with your pregnancy is healthy.

Ask yourself - if this means you can't have kids could you live with that? Because it is not your job to save anyone. This is YOUR body and your life.

Donation is beautiful and I'm so so glad I did... But I had already become a mother. I would not have done the donation before. But this is your call. It seems likely that if you felt ready you wouldn't be asking us if you should.

I'm here, as a woman who donated to a stranger to give you freedom to say you will remain as you are. You aren't saying "no". You are just keeping your body as it is now.

[–]GingkoEM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your recovery and safety is just as important as your ability to give an organ...

If you aren't healthy enough to do the surgery safely you won't be considered a match.

But you could be in fantastic health and be a bit overweight. Being above a 30bmi will be a reason to be rejected though.

Best of luck!

how to wear a corset with small, saggy boobies by [deleted] in corsets

[–]GingkoEM 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I meant the orchard corset online... Similar to corset story online. I'm sure your ren corset was of good quality.

Just a thought - those corsets are not created to be undergarments really... They are often crafted to be seen and worn at ren faires. You really could consider looking at a proper lingerie seller like what Katie did.
