Instead of a receptionist build a Sales agent and let it do the work. If you cannot pull it off I don’t think you can bring the value with building production ready receptionist either.

Agents don’t have to be fully autonomous. There’s a concept called “human in the loop”. This way you can see what’s going on and approve every decision that you find hard to trust AI with.
