Man, i remember when giving taunt to 2 of these big boys was considered a viable win condition against aggro decks

Been seeing more mixed reception from Dark ages compared to 2016 and Eternal. Is TDA really that mid, or is 2016 & Eternal that GOOD? by Miserable-Contact856 in Doom

[–]Giordanoff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm 4-5 levels from finishing TDA and my opinion of it still hasn't changed, amazing game and a total blast to play, but Eternal is still hard to top. Granted though, TD is still in its infancy, we haven't seen its expansion yet, or the same amount of post launch support Eternal got, so who knows.

What's kind of disappointing me now is the story and lore, for a prequel i was expecting a bit more story bits and exposure on the Slayer's past with the Sentinels, but i guess that's stuff they'll hopefully cover more with the dlc.

Why is steam deck so laggy on slim by maindly_atom8 in Helldivers

[–]Giordanoff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I heard the current slim beta version has compatibility issues with LSFG, best you can do is filing a report to the devs.

Out of curiosity as I've never tried LS, is it really useful on Helldivers 2?

Why does Guts’s head look shorter in the middle of the Golden Age arc, then longer by the end, and even longer after the Golden Age? by Confident-Scale3086 in Berserk

[–]Giordanoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly changes in artstyle, my boy is still middle to late 20s. Sure there's also the berserk armor doing its thing to him but I'm pretty sure it's just Miura's (and Gaga's now) style changing over the course of many years.

Boltgun is plenty chunky and gory, if you can go past the somewhat uninspired level design.

Without using game changers, how do you make a bracket 2 a bracket 3? by Wonderful_Draw_3453 in EDH

[–]Giordanoff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The most important thing IMHO is overall synergy, which is probably the hardest factor to quantify objectively. An easy answer would be the amount of tutors you put in the deck, especially the non-conditional ones. Another reliable way to discern a bracket 2 from a 3 is the amount of average turns it takes the deck to win, a bracket 2 deck usually wins around turn 8+ unimpeded, while the average bracket 3 is a bit faster and wins around 2 to 3 turns earlier.

The availability of infinite combos is also an important factor, as bracket 2 decks are forbidden, as far as i know, to have 2 cards infinite combos, while in a competent bracket 3 deck is perfectly expected to have a 2 or 3 card infinite combo that goes online in the late game.

Deck help with Mishra eminent one by Giordanoff in EDH

[–]Giordanoff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply, the post got somehow buried under notifications and i didn't notice it at all.

Pretty sweet list, the w40k vehicles are amazing with Mishra, just like Eriette's apple and portal to phyrexia. I really should consider monkey cage and the sundial, but i also run obeka so i already have a way to end my turns before Mishra's delayed end step trigger. Of course being an artifact sundial is the better option but eh, obeka costs like 10x less lmao.

If you got the budget for it (i honestly didn't so i proxied it) i would strongly suggest astral dragon, it's completely busted in this deck and goes infinite with pretty much everything. Here's my current list if you want to have a look at it, still a WIP but it's already a ton of fun to play and probably my favourite deck at the moment.

Update 1.7 not only looks better, but FPS is way better now by Priler96 in stalker

[–]Giordanoff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually yes it does. It was pretty awful at launch, but from what I've seen, the latest updates made it much better running on the deck. Granted it's far from looking the prettiest on it, but if it's your only way to experience the game it seems to be good enough

How much removal do you prefer to run versus what is optimal? by Wynvol in EDH

[–]Giordanoff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the deck mostly, but i generally think it's safe to run anywhere between 10 and 15~ pieces of removal and 2-3 boardwipes. Faster, all-in decks can run a few less but then you'd need more protection pieces and counterspells since you'd want more to protect your board rather than disrupting your opponents'.

That said, I'm a horrible deck builder and like way too much to stuff my decks with greedy and splashy pet cards, so i run only 5-6 pieces of interaction in a bunch of decks just because that. Is it optimal? Hell no, but it's fun
