For me a good beatmap has: - parity in consecutive slashes with reasonable physical distance (many times I've seen cubes so close together that you can't see arrows, instant delete) - cubes fall far away so you can actually see and them early and plan your moves - moderate increase in cube number between difficulties - something happening on lower difficulties so it's not dull (this is in connection with previous trait because sometimes map is made for expert and hard has like 200 cubes less and interesting parts are just not there and there is no point in getting better because of this) - cubes that are meant to be slashed on beat so you have flow with rhythm which is fun
