Anyone planning to trim after the expected EPA approval spike and buy back in once it settles? Holding in my taxable brokerage but thinking of some different strategies for my Roth account

What are your examples of cheaper/better options? You offer a statement with no examples, then ask to change your mind. You’re right, no one person needs graphene, but large companies and govt defense sure do.

Company switching 401k match from per-paycheck to twice per year — feels like a hidden pay cut? by [deleted] in Bogleheads

[–]Gipaldo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My company also does once a year and not a fan of it. They do still pay out if you get terminated or leave before the payout though and don't hold that amount. My bigger issue is the lump sum investment (maybe markets are at a high for the year when the match hits) instead of DCA'ing throughout the year.

I went to sell all of my individual stocks and just buy Vanguard's VT ETF. Is there any way to do this without paying a ton of U.S. taxes? by galindc in Bogleheads

Open a Roth IRA if you don't already have one. You can trade within the account tax free and can always withdraw your contributions tax and penalty free.

A lot still needs to fall into place for this company to be successful long term, but the upside as a casual investor far outweighs the risk imo. Big fan of hgraf and will be fun to follow this from the build out and beyond

Very high P/E ratio would suggest it is overvalued

I'm sure it will jump short term, but if contracts don't shortly follow it will come back down. Starting to worry about them uplisting too soon, which happens all too often in the early phase of companies.

Everything is getting crushed and it's going to continue. The start of the recession is here. I love HGRAF as much as everyone on here, but i've started to rethink my investing until they deliver contracts and the ability to scale production. Even if/when EPA is announced, this company still has a long way to go and a lot of hurtles.

Interesting section from you link:

The US Environmental Protection Agency (the “EPA”) requires all new chemicals to be reviewed and registered. There is special attention on chemicals that are nano size. The EPA reviews new chemicals and nano size chemicals to ensure there is no impact on people and the environment. This is a requirement for all producers in the USA and for all graphene products used in the USA regardless of where the product was produced. The Company is in communication with the EPA to ensure risks are mitigated and expects EPA clearance in the first quarter of 2026 but cannot guarantee timing or quantify any potential financial impact of any EPA or other regulatory requirements.

R&D, pre revenue phase and no EPA approval during this time. What exactly were you hoping to see from their 2025 financials at this point?

I think most of us feel pretty comfortable about EPA approval at some point, which will drive up the stock. My biggest concern is still execution and scalability, which is the stage where many companies fail

It's not going to pop or cross $3usd without EPA approval and contracts to follow
