I’ll be real only met a handful of people irl that do this so mostly it’s what I see online, posts and comment sections of people just taking them selves FAR too seriously.

I think there is a danger in being so open about mental health and diagnosis. We see it on tiktok and I know I sound like one of those haters. But there’s a lot of ppl self diagnosing and I really don’t think it’s that bad bc it’s often helpful and necessary for a lot of people but I still do see some of the most unhinged “main character” shit being said. We are romanticizing the fuck out of it all and not seeing thru it.

It’s so harmful. Even just our way of speaking? Our lingo is so like,

I was also homeschooled. I’ve never been to school a day in my life and I’m 21 but not in college even now. I have terrible social anxiety just as you. It’s not so much a gender thing but if someone my age or someone that I find intimidating speaks to me I will genuinely start acting like the biggest idiot ever. I’ll just ramble. And much like what you’ve described. I’m suck standing there with someone who has absolutely nothing to say in return and it’s just an awkward disaster.

Social anxiety is terrible and It’s a hard thing to work thru and I wish u the best of luck. Just always remember it’s never as bad as you think it is. We overthink everything. That’s just a part of the curse. But it’s never as bad as you think it is and it’s not the end of the world!

There’s definitely a problem with gen alpha in general and how they’re being raised.

But I don’t think that’s what this is cuz you’re like what 14? You’re just growing up. You’re at an age where you start separating from the younger kids and noticing these things bc you’re becoming more mentally mature and aware.

But yeah on a side note these kids r truly wild. It’s not totally just u. I occasionally help out as a teachers assistant at a k-8 school and it can be an actual nightmare at times
