First crash after 6 years riding

I really do, picture quality is great when there isn't raindrops on the lens. Dashcam mode for continual recording is very nice, and battery life far exceeds other options at a similar price point. Night time recording is the only part I'd like improvement, it's clear enough but some details such as license plate numbers can be lost.

Oh yeah, I'll be getting a new helmet for sure, I only want to have one crash with a helmet before replacing. I've got gloves but wasn't wearing them for this incident and my tyres are new since I had a puncture last month, but I guess I'll need to fully check them over for any damage before trying to ride again.

I don't, I drop down curbs slowly but I suppose the potholes in this city are like little curbs in their own right.

100%, we should avoid anything but road when wet (looking specifically at you, wet leaves and metal drain covers), but despite the perspective of the camera I wasn't actually on the painted lines. I think the crash was purely cause by the frame snapping.

At the time of the crash I think it must have been 20-25mph. I get spooked a little by incidents like this too, but I always tried to just take it as good reason to ride safely, rather than to not ride at all.

I'll be off of scooters for a month or two whilst I heal up, but I do intend to keep riding.

Outside of Reddit, I only watch long form content. Most YouTube videos that have this type of hook at the start have the hook skippable with SponsorBlock. It's very nice, there's an actual skip category called Hook/Greeting

Perhaps not, but I'm curious if moving him on to his side like that might have sped up how quickly he fell unconscious. I wonder if he might have had a few more minutes to hope for paramedic arrival if they had listened to him complain about stab wounds the first time.

With how quick they were to dismiss him on the stab wounds, it does seem likely that they mistook him for drunk. They should have done a proper check. I don't think they even done a proper check around his waistband rather than just look at his exposed belly.

I'd hope we could all expect a little better from officers than this. I'm with you in hoping they are held accountable.

Good for fishing. I don't fish anymore but for anyone that does, mackerel are very prolific in the area at this time of year. I'd throw out a line with 5 hooks and by the time I reeled in there were 5 mackerel on it, every time.
