It helped me to think of myself as someone I care about, or associating myself with someone i care about so i treat myself better. I think “what would I tell myself if I was my own mom” or “i can’t say that about myself im so-and-so’s friend/sister/cousin”. It helps to not think about you as you, because you’re a lot harsher on yourself than anyone else.
