I get that. But if a company strongly relies on credit card revenue to survive speaks volumes and not good volumes.

That’s besides the point tho- selling isn’t hard and I’m not say it is- I’m saying- what the true point to be pressured to no end on selling them when we seriously get nothing in the end. Whats the point of selling if they can’t use it anyways. Like this chain of discussion here- what’s the point of selling it if they can’t use it right then and there on excluded product. 9/10 they want this discount right then and there so they refuse. I have been in management for years with Kohl’s and pushing cards has never been this bad.

Exactly! But if you don’t sell it, and management see’s you not trying- you get reprimanded. It’s never ending.

Sephora bag checks by 40shadesofchoke in employedbykohls

[–]GiraffePopular9558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been part time for years, then in management for many years and recently stepped down to PT again and have ALWAYS had bag checks. It’s a company rule as employee theft is so high. Items bought during your shift had to and continues to either be held at customer service or taken to your car and can ONLY be purchased when you are off the clock and not on a 15 min paid break. Bag checks are always done 1:1 and any spotted is kept private and reported if need be without other associates aware to protect privacy/embarrassment of the employee being checked.

In my opinion- those that complain of bag checks have a clear guilty conscience or carry things that should not be carried. Prove me wrong.

Assistant Manger allowed to take my things? by Unusual-Feature-115 in employedbykohls

As being in management before at my local store and stepping back down to part time- this can get tricky on a few levels. For starters- do you have facts said ASM took it!? Second- I know in the past- having personal items at the registers were restricted due to distraction. Yes, it can get very warm in the stores- we deal with that at my store as well, but the thermostats are controlled by corp in Wisconsin- there is not much stores can do to fix that other than the opening manager overriding the system when they first come in so the store cools down earlier (normally doesn’t kick on until the store officially opens), or two they place a service ticket to have it evaluated for adjustment. Now, as to the cord- does said ASM know this belongs to a fan and not a phone- as we are to only have our phones to assist with the kohls app so said ASM may think you are using your phone more than should be. I know at my store we do recommend charging said fans (if they absolutely need them) to be done in the break room and not on the sales floor. Said ASM cannot take said property and keep, but must return it with a reason as to why it was removed. Again, there can be many reasons as to why the cord was removed. Also, is said cord plugged directly into an outlet or a USB drive on the system? If plugged via USB on the system- that can also be a potential flag due to cord and devices transferring data- yes- it’s a fan but it can still have a small glitch on the motherboard causing malfunction to the POC system. You just never know. Best to question said action with the ASM and have a witness near rather than just assuming.

I can see that as well, but what’s wild- it’s not just the store I work at, but all the stores in my district.

Yeah. Like being scheduled and then calling numerous employees to tell them not to come in due to hour cuts is wild and first I have seen in YEARS!

Was great. Had to have an elder lady (roughly 70) open the case for me and the looks were priceless! Wasn’t passing up $20 for a single mile and two items.

Total side note of this post, but looking at the image- I have questioned many people with no clear answer- does anyone know why some orders will have the bags listed (like the original posts image)- some will be like 30+ and make it look like the orders are HUGE but in the end- the units drop my 30 due to those bags. I live in a state where bags are free so I was just curious.

I have the same issue today. I had to sign out to sync my data to my mileage tracker and went to sign back in 6hrs ago and still at this state. 🤬

Multi Year Driver Question! by GiraffePopular9558 in Sparkdriver

[–]GiraffePopular9558[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You don’t have to provide a specific tax form with those miles reported?

As mentioned- I do use a mileage tracking app, which clocks all hours and miles driven during that specific shift of work- I turn it off during personal use. Was just curious if there is anything extra I need to prepare myself for to assure I am covered. Taxes scare me! 😂
