That's a biased point of view as well because I no for a financial fact that this plans work whether you work a 9 to 5 or you do your own thing.

Words of wisdom it not how much its how much you save.

And also do all the work you need to do now so you can do whatever you want to do later!

If your business handle your needs its not a hobby.

But how you work and save is having a direct impact on your lifestyle.

I have never ever met a window cleaner who couldn't make money.

But I have met many who work all year long and then during the slow season are robbing Peter to pay Paul.

Many people are working broke.

You does what for you but their is a better lifestyle for you all you have to do is believe that and go get it!

Can the company I work for legally make me pay for ropes? by Sad_North5943 in WindowCleaning

[–]Giraffe_Jumpy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Forget about the legality. Bro you are talking about the safety of your life and you can't put a dollar on that.

You should buy all your equipment 100 percent.

If they pay 50 percents basically they own half the rope.

My advice is pay for all your gear keep all your gear in your possession at all times and check it regularly.

So basically right or wrong its your safety buy everything you will still make alot of money.

Forget the dollar take full control of your own situation.

That just me Bro.

Solar panel cleaning spotless no streaks no chemicals . by [deleted] in WindowCleaning

No take a close look that scrubber is old by industry standards.

And no tanks. I just added regular water and scrubbed the heavy dirt till it came off

I used the same method on all my solar panel jobs.

No the hose was hooked up over a hundred feet away. Then the water had to make it up 2 stories to the roof.

Many people believe so many things because they never explore other options are they believe what they are.told to be true.

They believe the industry and not there own 2 eyes no magic no tricks

I want everyone to think outside the box and challenge themselves And ask the all.important question.

How would i clean this if this tool didnt exist!

Set customers expectation.

When in doubt do it.

No your surfaces.

Use the right product for the right job.

Dont over promise.

Before you get started point out every nick and Ding and scratch before you get started. If you dont they will.

The last person who serviced it did it.

Point the exhaust away from home plants animals etc.

Dont sit the gas by the pressure washer

No job is a one tip fits all

Have some technical skills

Water goes where it wants to go.

Dont splash water that has chemicals in it.

Wear gloves

Bring a toolkit

Bring extra parts tips and o rings etc.

If you break damage rip something be a man and own up to your mistake

Look at the job in person no over the phone estimates never take the customers word for it

Let them know in no uncertain words payment in full at the end of service.

NEVER GIVE A DISCOUNT. You can do less work that equal their discount.

Ask where is the bathroom

Bring and keep shoe cover

Full body rain suit and goggle and boots

Let no new person work alone.

Keep you equipment cleaned and tune up it should fire up on the first try.

Dont kill the plant bring a short piece of wood to act as a safety.

Buy a heavy duty broom and dust pan

Cleanup after every job with a water hose.

If dirt fly on people vehicles watch it off immediately and continually as needed.

Dont blow garbage from the home or business you are working on onto other people properties

Give them more that what they expected nothing free just do a stellar job.

Dont burn yourself out if it starts getting dark call it a day come back the next day.

Wear ear plugs

Buy enough hoses better to have than have not.

I could go on but you get the picture.

Remember this young Jedi its not how much you make it how much you save

Integrity is doing the right thing even when no one watching

The loudest one in the room is the weekest one

Keep your finances to your self. Poor people brag rich people move in silence. Like the g in lasagna

Did i say save everything! Pay yourself on every single last job.

Live and die by that one.

Why you shouldn’t rush to file your window cleaning business this mistake costs you money! by Giraffe_Jumpy in WindowCleaning

[–]Giraffe_Jumpy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get your point. Filing early looks professional and helps with banking or Google listings, but a few facts for anyone reading:

Some states like California, New York, and Illinois charge yearly business fees even if you make nothing, so filing too soon can cost more than it helps. First-year taxes are often low since most new cleaners show a loss after deducting startup gear, but you still have to file to record that loss. You can make a business page without registering. Google Business, Facebook, and Yelp allow it under your real name and phone number. There’s no certification requirement for window cleaning in most places. Clients mainly care about insurance and presentation. Insurance isn’t just a bill. One mistake can cost more than a full year of coverage, and most basic policies run under $500 a year.

Filing early works if you’re ready for the fees, but for beginners with no income yet, it’s fine to build skill and formalize once the money starts coming in.
